Transfer output shaft stake nut (1 Viewer)

Hi guys,

I have searched for the size ot the transfer shaft output shaft stake nut size, but cannot sem to find anything, (the search doesn't seem to like me much!).

Can anybody tell me what size socket I need to remove the nut so I can replace my seals?

32mm socket should do it.

Depending on year and which aftermarket rebuild kit has been used to rebuild previously:
27, 30 or 32.

and a tip my buddy did when we put mine back together.

when you use silicone - don't put it on the shaft, but what slides on the shaft (can't think of how to describe). It then piles up outside of the t/c instead of on the inside, and a better seal. Especially if a lot of miles the gears can get worn and leak down the length behind the nut. tough to troubleshoot w/ it hitting hte u-joint and flinging...

anyway - hope that's a helpful tip to pass along. GL!
