Anyone know the specs for the Choke cable nut? This is for the later FJ60 cable, which has the electrical connector for the Choke indicator light. This nut is for mounting the cable intothe dashboard.

Thanks, garfieldthecat!
However, part numbers are NOT the specs I was looking for. I have the parts diagrams and numbers.

But that does NOT tell me the diameter, or the threading or pitch. Which makes trying to find a suitable part tricky. Yes, I had already ordered one of the ones that are available on Ebay (ala your picture), and a hopefully suitable choke cable knob from elsewhere.

But I am impatient, and hoped to be able to find an appropriate nut to lock this thing into the panel.

But thanks again.

Not sure if the choke is the same, but From my 62 in the same spot (but throttle knob)

Looks to be an M20x1.0

Thanks, BurntToast!
Lovely to see the dash mounted throttle cable, but it is rather more robust than the choke.

there are two threaded parts. The one on the end of the cable is metal, and is on the end of the choke that gets pulled out. It threads into the choke knob. it has fine threads, and is slightly smaller diameter than the the next threadded part, which is black plastic, on the end of the small box which mounts behind the dash, and provides the hookup to the CHOKE indicator light in the dashboard (instrument cluster?) to the left of the steering wheel. Both of these two threaded parts are well under a centimeter in diameter. I am more specifically looking for he specs for the threaded plastic portion, as that is what needs to have a nut (or two) to lock it against the dash sheetmetal.

I may have to find some small fine thread gauges.

I've got the old choke cable from my 86. You're more than welcome to have it for the price of shipping.

Sadly, I had already purchased one of the "newer" ones (for the '83 to '87s - my rig is an '82, which doesn't have the Choke dash indicator) from JT Outfitters,, which comes without the panel nut or the knob.
