I looked at my 05 and I believe the fairlead would come to this position, just below or right at the rounded edge of the bumper behind the license plate. the fairlead I used is the same width as a license plate.
The winch mount comes with two brackets for the two center lower bumper cover mounts. The mounts are slightly further rearward from the brackets that come on the mount. You would have to either put new holes in the bumper cover mounting plastic, this would be very easy to do as illustrated below or have @TRAIL TAILOR weld the brackets back about an inch on the plate.
The bumper reinforcement on my 2005 is aluminum other then that it mounts the same as the steel reinforcement on my 1998. You'll have to cut out the center of the reinforcement and bolt the two outer pieces back on the frame like I did with the steel reinforcement on my 98. The outer brackets for the bumper cover left and right mounts are part of the aluminum reinforcement so they will transfer over wit the bumper ends.

Ok so my wife is at work and there is plenty of sunlight left in the day so I decided to get this project started. Winch mount installed so far. This weekend I will finish the rest.
Finally finished the install today
How do you feel this would hold up in a pull with some side angle involved? I know there was another hidden winch mount plate (TJM maybe?) that was pretty stout for a straight line pull but got a pretty consistent no-confidence vote for anything else. TT has been great to me with the one order I've had from him (recovery mounts). I've got a winch ready to go but no place to mount it and a real bumper would push my budget.
The mount is pretty damn solid, have not had to use it in that type of situation just yet. But agreed for straight line pull, it pulled effortlessly. I'll update if I ever have to use it at any awkward angles

I had no idea AC lines were different. My '98 LC has the original prototype from Jason, and I only have front AC (w/ rear heat). Do later LC's have this lower line or is it really just on LX's?

I'm not familiar with all the different options available between the LC and LX. If someone knows I like to be educated. From what I've been able to figure out, if you don't have the rear A/C (where there is an A/C evaporator in the back) the condenser is smaller and the high pressure line is different. I'd suspect if rear A/C was an option on the LC in 98 the A/C line would be the same.
I have an 05 LX in addition to the 98 and the line is slightly different. It doesn't seem to drop below the cross member as much.

Interesting, afaik the LC only had a rear heat and no rear AC in 98/99, which disappeared and switched standard rear AC in 2000+. EDIT: and to keep it on topic, I can't recommend the @TRAIL TAILOR hidden winch mount enough.
You can kinda see the are in question in the first pic on his site (zoom in just to the right of the winch, and see where I don't have a line). My mounting "feet" are symmetric, and look just like your passenger side mount. Otherwise it mounts up just the same, but the LX driver side is notched for that line, and it looks like Jason built in a gusset under that foot to compensate.
