Sorry if this has already been covered but I couldn't find anything posted. Wondering if anyone has experience with door and window channel seals from trail tailor or any other aftermarket supplier? I'm taking this project on soon and from what I remember OEM stuff is out of stock so I'm going aftermarket. Looking for some reviews and experiences? I want to seal up my rig a little better then the 30 year old seals that make me crazy.
thanks
mike

My experience is that if Jason makes or sells a product, it works well. This includes the door seals which have been a great addition.

The front door opening trim from an 10/88 and later FJ62 have an extra piece of weatherstripping around the window area that helps seal them up. I used the trim from my '89 FJ62 donor vehicle when building my '86 FJ60, they work great. They are discontinued from Toyota. You might be able to find some good used ones here on MUD.

(PRECISION) PRP.com sells the door side seals for the 60 series along with the channel runs, rear hatch seal and windshield and vent glass gaskets.

This is where I buy mine and direct other to buy from.

This is good to know, haven't heard of PRP.com before. Not to hijack....but, Jason do you know of a source for the tail light lense gaskets? My original lenses and housings are in great shape but the outer gaskets have shrunk pretty bad.

That is really nice of you to point me in this direction. I was ready to buy from you after doing some research and this is just an example of how close knit this forum is. Awesome :)

I only sell the rear hatch surround and the INNER BODY SIDE door seals. So not much competition there with PRP. Plus they have taken good care of me for 10+ years.

Cruiser Corps has after market tail light lens gaskets for $24.95 per side for the Fj60. I used their after market grill and it worked fine.

Anybody bought these?

Any other vendors for the inner door seals?

It appears that Trail Tailor no longer has the door seals on the website.
rubber seals australia. You can get the seal kit for the entire vehicle at once windows included.

I used them for my rear sliding windows and their stuff is great. The shipping to US is kinda high though. Best to do a group buy. I did like 5 kits at once when i ordered and the shipping cost was very reasonable

This would be way easier than ordering from AUS haha i didnt know you still sold them

I don't sell the sliding glass products. I have the complete outer door seal upgrade and the glass lockstrips.
