Rudy's cruiser will be running if a miracle happens........... actually now that we have narrowed down his problem, it shouldn't take anything but money to fix

To bad money is what I have the least of. Mark still hasnt answered my pm about if the head gasket I have will work but once I know that I can rip it apart if it will work.

I think I would go ahead and rip into it. It's not like your going to be able to figure out whats going on until you do. I might have a nice slightly used 2f we could pop in there for a little money. :D

And david I'm planning on building a dual battery tray setup and using a battery isolator. One for lights and winch and the other for the important stuff and maybe a switch to tie them both together. I'll probably build two incase someone else wants one.

battery tray

Look at the MAF trays. Top hold down is important.
They use the existing mounting location and bolts right up.
Use a larger capacity isolator. A new fuse block for add on items is nice too.
Marine switches are nice and would allow "self jumping". It is
a LOT of large wires running into your Cruiser however.
I just use jump cables if necessary and avoid the mondo wires and switch.
Zero problems for many years now.
Hehe....jumper cables...don't leave home without 'em!
