Trail /convoy Leaders Wanted

TOPIC: THE OVER THE MOUNTAIN TOUR 2007


I need responsible volunteers for Trail Leaders and convoy leaders For August 10th-12th. Please email me at alegar@charter.net or post here.

Responsibilities: To meet and lead a convoy from designated rally points in GA, SC and NC. Also need at least two trail leaders for the trails. JP: you and your team will be one, if you accept, please.

I can lead a convoy from South Florida into the Upstate, that is, of course, if Sputnik 40 can back his rig down to abouts 80-85 MPH. We can also form a convoy from the Upstate into Tellico as we normally do.

Any of us south Florida guys will be happy to blaze a trail. We just prefer small groups.

I can also offer up my house in Woodstock, GA as a starting point for anyone to get up to Tellico. I am about 2.5 hours to the dirt of trail 1 on the Murphy side and know the way VERY well. Anyone convoying through this area (75/575) area is welcome to ping me and arrange a convoy.

Alkaline: Thanks for stepping up! I think your questions will be answered in the next email blast. Hopefully, you will lead the N'Carolina boys down to Tellico. I have to get with our esteemed President and iron out a few specifics and then I will email the leaders directly for your input as well.

Now, if I could only find one stud (or studette) to lead from SC...

All you will have to do is lead our gaggle from the Upstate on Friday, August 10 .....

As an FYI, the GA convoy will be going up 575/515 out of Atlanta, so if you are interested please PM me. I am thinking we can meet at a nice coffee shop on Friday and head out from there. If you are going any other time PM me for directions from ATL. I can give road to dirt or road all the way directions.

What time oh great leader? I'd like to get an early start to get up there for the work day/clean up given all that is going on up there right now with the law suit and all.
