Trade my 4runner for a 80?

the 4R will do 90% of the stuff the LC can do and do it better. ask yourself if making 90% of the time worse off is worth getting the extra 10% offroad.

I would fix the 4Runner, or take the money and not fix it.

What u stated is relative to how much time you spend in that 10%

I'd agree that the 80 is not the best rig for towing a 40, irrespective of a swap. Just because you can, doesn't mean that you should- power isn't the only factor in safe towing. I've been there, done that- weight and wheelbase of the towing vehicle vs the length and weight of the thing that you're towing are important factors to consider, or else you'll be asking for trouble.

That's a beautiful truck, I wouldn't want to part with it. What does it look like with the hail damage?

I've also got a '99 SC 4runner to go along with my SC Cruiser. They both have their place but if I had to choose only one, it would be the Cruiser.

If you are worried about hail damage you don't need an 80. 80s are meant for off road.
