This really isn’t a complaint but I find it sort of strange. I’ve been running my aftermarket wheels and tires for a few weeks now and the TPMS warning light hasn’t come on yet. I fullly expected this to be an issue and was prepared to bypass it but it hasn’t registered a fault.
The obvious is that my aftermarket wheels have TPMS in them but I can assure that they don’t. They were on my 07 FJC and that year didn’t have TPMS. I personally mounted this wheel/ combo so I know they only have a standard valve in them.
Anyone else have this happen. I’ve read several threads that have had the opposite happen. Ie: different wheels tripped TPMS and had to bypass it.
I haven’t read any with my results.
Truck is a 07, 1-owner, I have all of the Lexus service history and it was a garage queen. So I doubt the PO had this disabled. Can’t see it being a fuse because from everything that I read, the bypass is more complicated than just removing a fuse.
Just curious.
Thanks!
