My mother asked me if I would be able to 3D print a part that has been missing from her Corona SE for years last Christmas.
I took some measurements, and bunch of photos and even a rubbing of the joining part to help e model it when I got home (1000km away).
While I was there I also noticed the door knob guard was missing, so I took one of them with me to reverse engineer for 3D printing.

When I got home I modelled both parts and printed them in Jet Black PETG.
I send them both to Mum via post. Now the door knob guide fitted perfectly, but the gear s*** cover needed some work.
I coached my sister through heading the part in hot water and pressing it to fit, then photographing and measuring the required changes.
Another print and post, and we had a perfectly fitting custom part, correction parts.
Photo's here FYI.

If you are interested in these parts I'm happy to work with you to get a set printed.
I enjoy this kind of work so I'd also be happy to work with you on your project if it will help.
Message me if you want to discuss it.

I think it is a 1964, Corona SE.
If you'd like a part printed. I can work with you to customise it or create something from scratch.
Thanks! Going to look at a 79 today (for the 2nd time). It might come home with me like a lost puppy but we’ll see. Trim parts are apparently unobtainable so I might need some help in that department. The 20R motor is common enough that I can source that stuff from mini truck or Celica/Corolla folks. If I end up with this thing I’ll probably be in touch 🙂
