some updates

80 chassis is shortened (30 cm off wheelbase) and also norrowed (12cm)
It is much stronger, and newer than original 40 frame, and i think its better for stronger engine (HZ) or (UZ). Also the frame has its own anticorosion treatment which will last longer (i have to treat the welded parts also)

i have carrefully taken the measurment after assembling and everything is fine for this moment.

The difficulties to resolve
- The rear upper passanger side arm is just above the axels ball so i need to do some modification to avoid the crash during axel travel ( i decided to go with 5 link original 80 set up with panhard)
- engine mounts need to be replaced (pushed back for 15cm)
- the rear part of the wheel fender need to be cutted 10-15cm

Guys I would like to ask some questions that i havent found
my objectifs is to make front axel and steering as solid as 80 series (not differential is already stronger 9.5)

so my question
1) will the 80 birerfield recieve toyota 40 inner axels ? (i want to cut and weld the balls of 80 series for better knuckesl, disk breaks and steering tie rods)
2) Is the stoxk 80 series bierfield stronger than 60 series ?
3) if its immposible than what is the better way to go?
Fj 60 knuckles breaks and bierfield or chromoly longfields?

Are chromoly longfields as strong as 80 series birfs?

Longfields are stronger.

Not true. A NEW 80 birf is stronger. The 80 birfs break because they are worn out. Everything on the 80 front end is stronger except the diff and one other area. The problem area is the drive flange area on the wheel hub is tuliped so you can't add additional dowels, but, you can drill everything out and use bigger studs.

Here is the link which says that its the same may be a mistake

Spline Count & Outside Diameter At Differential:
68' - 97' - 40/55/61/62/80 Front & Rear - 30 spline (fine), 33mm/1.31"

Spline Count & Outside Diameter At Birfield Joint:
68' - 97' - 40/55/61/62/80 - 27 spline

Sorry, that is an error that has been on my 'fix list' for quite some time. While the splines at the side gear are the same (30 spl & 1.31") and the splines at the drive flange or freehweel hub are the same, the splines at the birf are in fact different.

I see thank's for confirmation.

SO to install 9.5" diff in front with 80 knuckels the only way is to
take rear of 80 series cut and and weld the 80 series balls. and use the short inner shaft from new model 70 series..

My objectif is to strengthen the weak link.
But here is another issue

As you know the front 8" yota diffs are revers cut high pignon.
and 9.5" diffs are low pignon (non high pignons 9.5" for toyota)

Will the 9.5" Low pignon diff be more stronger than High pignon 8" diff revers cut ??

If it is same strength, there is no reason to install 9.5" diff in front and i can take just HD new 70 series axels (9.5 rear and 8"front high pignon) under my 40 to turn 38" tires.

PS. as my 40 is powered with HZ+R151F and H1AV transfer, the front drive shaft is quit long and there is no issue with shaft angle (so no problem with high or low pignon from this objetive.

it is in my Books ..
