Well, the air bags are gonna have to wait as I recover from this latest repair. Brought it in for an EGR delete and oil cooler change. After it was all put back together he couldn't get the damn thing started.......for almost 5 weeks. Finally figured out that it was the HPOP

and as soon as that was swapped out, she fired up. A couple of hiccups the first day or so of driving but so far so good. Put about 400 or so miles on her and no codes, no CEL (knocks on wood, literally). That was an expensive fix but it is running better than before and makes sense that the HPOP has been on it's way out since the day I bought it. Before we said anything to the tech about how it was behaving he asked if I was having trouble with it going into safe mode when towing a heavy load. I told him how it had been behaving and he said that's exactly what it does if it's on it's way out. They pulled the brand new screen from the oil cooler and it had pieces of teflon in it, another indication the HPOP was going out according to the tech. Now I can start it and drive almost immediately without having to let it warm up for forever with no trouble. I just hope this money pit let's me heal these wounds before the "next" round.........
