Oh no you didn't LOL, that's awesome and will certainly do the job with a smile :). is that the mega cab with 8FT box? I could sure use that extra bed room for a tool box/long range tank :) Very nice, Cheers! I take it the Hemi just wasn't the same?
 
Crew cab 8' long bed not enough $$$$$ for the mega cab.

Insurance did not total out the blue truck (I traded it in broken) they have been putting new electrical components on it since June 11th (35 days in a rental is long enough) and although the truck does run and move under its own power, it still has a check engine light. Change an electrical part only to find out the next one in line “talks / communicates” to it does not work, change another part ( I see this a never ending cycle). Since the blue truck was my primary daily drive I could not see myself keeping it.
Trading in a broken truck on a new vehicle does not yield a high trade in valve :frown:, but I should have never ridden in Larry’s Mega Cab in Tennessee ………. It gave me the itch again :D.... And boy is this 4x4 diesel scratching it !

LOL, well I'm glad I could help nudge you that direction you certainly helped me a lot when I got mine. That's a good call on the 4WD too :) I'm sorry to hear the insurance and dealership gave you the run around on your blue one though that just ain't right :(
 
Mr Albert, Holden and I were talking about you on the drive to work this morning I told him you got a new white 3/4 ton diesel like the one that was driving by at the time and he asked what about the blue truck after the lightening incident so I told him you replaced it with the diesel because it wasn't the same after the lightening strike. He said you should put some lightening bolts on the side of the diesel :lol:, I had to admit its kinda ironic the reason your back in the new diesel is the lightening and it does sound cool :cool:
 
H&S users check the site for updates last time I did one it had some really good updates to it but how the time flys that was last September before SCC and theres been quite a few since then. It took the better part of an hour to upload the new updates last night but I won't get to see what improvements it makes or don't make until this weekend on a trip to the gulf coast with the camper :) I was having a see dealer alarm come up on the overhead every few thousand miles when I'd run a dianostic it came back clean and there was no dash lights indicating an issue so I'd clear it out and move on hopefully the updates will clear that out.

Me and the wife were joking about what we were going to name the new deisel. Ironicly the silver diesel was named "snowflake" way before all this happened to me, (very funny story behind that) anyway. I like where ya'll are going with lighting bolts, there is enough sheet metal to put decals on this truck LOL.
 
+1 on bolt. You could paint a blue colar from behind front wheels up and around the fenders/hood. With tag on hood. And the black bolts spanning doors.

Last year going to the Crawl Jrob got around 8-9 pulling the camper 2 rig set up behind the Duramax. He call me on the CB and asked me what I was getting in my 06 5.9 CTD Dodge. I was almost ashamed to tell him I was getting 18 mpg with my 18' car hauler, rig and all of the schwag for the Crawl. I know that overhead computer can be off by a little but it's been pretty close in the past. Love my 5.9 with no EGR junk!

LOL, that's awesome. I'm still a big fan of mine as well it fits the family and our towing need with no issues. Desmogged and programmed :D I averaged 15 pulling the old 28FT camper or 80 on the trailer at 65 I bought her a 5th wheel last weekend so I'm curious see if I its gonna be worst or better.

Another project to fit in before the SCC trip, rear bags for the Ram. Hoping it'll solve my unhitching issues I had upon bringing the new 5er home I couldn't get the fifth hitch to disengage but the rear was sagging a good bit and the bags should level it off :)
