I wonder if these guys could make a tank to go next to the frame rail under a Cruiser? You'd have to work out a filler location (and neck) maybe could gravity feed into the oem tank?

I dunno..I just found them while looking at Adventure Rider Motorcycle Forum.

There are a couple of AU and SA companies that make aux tanks that tuck up between the framerail and driveshaft. Most of them are ~19 gallons or so.

I'm wondering how much it would cost to have one built. Why don't you find out for us?:D

Yep, seen and priced the AU tank, It's pricey plus the shipping is a deal breaker and I've never seen where anyone in the USA imports them (here is a AU link: Out Of Town 4WD

It would be cheaper to buy a AMMO trailer and fill it with Gerry cans.

I was told that back during the early 70's fuel crisis that there were enough folks burning themselves to death that the Feds outlawed gravity feed fuel tanks on highways except for OTR diesel trucks. All series fuel tanks (pump from one to the next) were outlawed for the same reason, because folks would over-fill the primary tank and leave a trail of fuel spilling out of the fill neck.

Neither arrangement sounds like something I want. Parallel tanks works just fine and really isn't that much harder to do. Get the selector valve off a late model domestic pick-up out of the junk yard.
