Those are smaller than the tires on my stock 2nd gen 4runner

ShottsUZJ100 said:Oh ya....sorry....didn't want to belittle fellow Cruiser drivers. It's funny though, adding a sub-32-inch tire to your signature on a $70 SUV that's being taughted as an "off-roader"? That's friggin' hilarious!![]()

Thai said:Funny. Yeah, i could put something bigger...but why?? It's perfectly capable with 31". Maybe you guys need bigger tire to overcome some deficiencies!![]()

Reliability?? or Durability?? Tell me more. The only "negative" thing about G500 is it's MB electronics (radio for example). The running gears (axles, drivetrain, frame, etc.) have been around longer than TLC80 or 100. These components have been proven worldwide and thru military service.
The reason for the (future) pics of RTI is because some of you have doubted the G-wagen's suspension flex. As you may know, GX470 with KDSS flex is similar to LX470, according to FourWheeler magazine. As the pics will show, my G500's flex is slightly better (or on par) with Gx470 KDSS, proving that G500's axles can flex well, far superior to what you guys have "claimed." This is not meant to say who can piss further, but it disproves some assumptions around here.
I'd hate to stress it out with 32'sThai said:... but i will stick with my wimpy 31" tires that assure me that my drivetrain is not stressed out.
I often check out the forums of cars that I am interested in buying. I think Thai is looking to convert one day.Greg B said:Thai,
Why are you here? I've never understood why people go onto vehicle specific forums when they don't have that vehicle and then try to convince everyone there that their vehicle is better.

Oh yeah, Land Cruisers and G's suck 'cause I get way better gas mileage in the wife's Honda Element!
Thai said:Well, i am in for the long haul with the G...like you guys with TLC/LX.
Thai said:BTW, i would watch those torsion bars of yours....
macneill said:Unfortunately your haul won't be nearly as long as a LC's.
It's actually amusing to watch you attempt to make up for the G's shortcomings on a LC forum.
Don't you have fellow G friends you can go play with?
Thai said:Sure...come on over to G-forum. We're more receptive of other people's rides.
Yeah, my G-wagen has ONLY been around for over 25 years...it won't last long at all!![]()
