For $1600 I’d take it with no engine. Lol.

Someone posted this on the TLCA Facebook page. It is indeed a scam. Fire away and post the convo when done!

I peruse craigslist regularly and see at least 3 ads every day that advertise a ~10 year old (usually acura TL) using photos that are clearly cropped phone pictures of a computer screen, with description that makes no fawking sense, e.g. "255/45/18 cold AC TL sport wipers" for $1000-$1500 (cars usually worth $5-10k if it was what was actually pictured).

I have no idea how the scam is supposed to work, but it is a very common one. I flag them every day.

Brah, make sure you give them your credit card number and SSN as a backup payment option. You don't want to miss that deal.

It's always funny to me when I see palm trees in the background of the pic and the vehicle is being advertised in the northeast part of the US.

Im wiring the guy money right now and his friend is going to deliver the vehicle to a safe impoundment, he said he is overseas on business.

Find an actual western union location near him and get a sample conf # from google. Once he goes there and tries to get his "money", you can them inform him of your one digit error in the conf # and he can go down and try again.

Lol He's probably on the forum watching you now.....

I lost interest and dont have enough free time.

I have messed with a few scammers while selling vehicles if Im not getting many legitamite responses. Gratifying in the sense that you are wasting a criminal's time.

Let him know the Prince will be sending the money!

It does seem to be a terrible waste of time after a while. They catch on rather quickly when you stop giving all the right info.
I gotta go my phone is ringing. Oh it's
a number I've never seen before, again today....
