^LOL! I think I'm gonna bite the bullet and go longfields. It will be interesting to see how long stock ones will last this weekend. If I stay on the bunny trails I'd do ok. Hmmm......

I was talking with pat he had a good point that if your gonna daily drive you should probably invest in hubs too... that way you can unlock the front wheels...

Yeah that's an option. But the axles still turn because it is full time 4wd. Your only disconnecting the power at the wheels. And there is no proof this will save the Longfields from wear. A part time kit is the ultimate solution but that is expensive. Plus from what I've read it really changes the handling characteristics of the truck. Anyways I'm buying a tow rig/DD soon. So I will be splitting driving duty with it.

Yeah all the cool kids are doing it.:D

I should of snapped a picture of it. Not often you see that.

Have to make a PVC tie rod and drag link to check for clearance. Might have to notch the frame to make everything fit at full flex.

Hey thx! Thats awesome!

Started off my new 40 project by pressure washing the undercarriage. A lot of rust, dirt, grime and paint caim off.

Sorry I cleaned the inside of all the mouse crap and I had to leave you something to clean!

Thanks, I'd much rather clean dirt and grime over mouse crap. :hillbilly:

Trying to figure out what the next step should be. Gotta raise some cash to I can call ruff stuff for the soa kit. :bounce:

What.s up with the 45? You got 2 projects now.

Yeah the 45 is taking forever and turning into more of a resto mod. I probably won't wheel it that hard when I'm done. Plus since my garage isn't heated I can't paint when its cold. If I can't paint it doesn't make sense to blast parts if I can't paint them afterwards which puts me at a stand still.

The 40 is going to be on the cheap, quick and dirty project. I want to have it wheeling by spring. The plan is spring over with 37s. It might be 35's until I can afford bigger tires as I already have a new set of 35x10.5x15

Ask momma:princess:for some $$$ I'm sure she would give it to you:censor:

You need to start a thread:D

Yeah I don't think that is going to happen. I do need to start a build thread.

Last night I pulled off the running boards in prep to cut the rockers Wally style. I also got one of the vent doors working. For some reason a PO locked them shut. If the rain clears I have a long list to get started on. I'll basically be stripping parts off until I can get garage space for it.
