Howell system for the fuel injection, new painless wiring harness. Tilt wheel and a hydrovac. A little over a month to the spring meeting!!!!

Jim C. came over this morning and we "he" got the lv running very smoothly. idling just right at 700rpm's nice and quite and got hte valves adjust and timing set right. time I think was on but the distributor set bolt had loosened so it was good to set it again. also got the fuel guage working. I knew it would be simple i had gotten it wired right but had blown the fue at some point duinrg my wiiring. figures. but at first we were not sure if it was working right in that it was going all the way to full. but after driving around for an hour or 2 today the needle started to come down. very cool I think I am ready to drive to the spring meeting. yeah!!!

Hope you do better than me Jason, I averaged 12 mpg today.............

tried to get my ecu coeds witha paperclip but it didn't work, not wure what I'm doing wrong.

Put on some stickers. Stickers = HP. ;)]

Going to get the ebrake adjusted this afternoon and hopefully get it inspected this week.

Was going to put a tube bumper on the front of the 4runner that came with it.
Unfortunatly the mounting holes were no where near where they should be.
So I need a tow point, didn't really like the one that was on there. The hole thru
the frame were about 3/4" and the bolts thru the tow point were 1/2. I took a piece of
1/4 bar and drilled the correct size hole in it, put it inside the frame and welded it up.
Then I boxed the section in with some more of the 1/4".

Time for Cruiser work. New c-clips for the birfs came this week so Ian and I got the shafts
into the Birfs. Hubs are all back together now. All I have to do is put the calipers back on and
put the locking hubs on.(they are up in VT getting pretty) Fill the diff with oil, go pick up the longer retubed front driveshaft and install that. Cage has to go back in, front seats back in. (list is getting long) A few other
odds and ends in the engine bay and it will be ready for the spring meeting!

So the mods over the winter were, FJ60 powersteering, Tube shock towers, Longfields, front locker, flipped front springs for more wheel base, trimmed rockers up to the floor.
Still to do, rebuild SM420 and 3 speed case and install.

jeff holingsworth at Keene Driveline 603-355-4450 the guy does AWESOME work. I don't know what he charged lane but it is normally about $140 for a retubed/balanced shaft.

He does good work, this is the 3rd one he's done for me. The other 2 were less than $100. I haven't picked this one up yet so I have no idea how much it will be. He also sets up R&P's for $150 each plus materials.

I put new tires on the motorcycle today. Still working on wiring stuff for the 4runner. I replaced the tubing for the ARB air line and need a new brass ferulle for the compression fitting on the third member. Unfortunately its not a standard size. 3/16" is close from the hardware store, but just a hair too small. Anyone else know what to use? I can wait and order another ferrule from ARB or just replace the fittings and tubing with standard 3/16" from Home Depot. Suggestions?

I had the same problem, i cut the hose in trail, then tried to reuse the ferulle, after 30 minute of frustration i manage to have it not to leak, so i could get out of the trail. I then ordered the ARB heavy duty air line kit.

Picked up my driveshaft today. This is what he did for me, lengthened the shaft 5".
Sandblasted and painted. Machined down the ends so that when I have to retube again we don't
have to look for metric tube. Total diameter is a bit smaller than a stock driveshaft but the wall
thickness is greater. Balanced and painted. $182

Crappy pic.
