I did do a little off roading at Dave's Place with GCLC before the Aussie. I'm thinking of bringing it to the Fall Gathering to earn it's first participation sticker.

Started frooving my new (to me) SX. The outer lugs will get a quick re shape and sipe on the biting edge after they get mounted.

Gonna try my hand at a set of weld on beadlocks. Couldnt find any 8" rims local, so got some from 4wheel parts. I have a local guy cutting the rings, going with a solid 4" outer ring. Excited to see these come together.

sick. just pulled the trigger on some TMI weld ons this afternoon!

Funny.... I've had a set of weld ons sitting in the garage for a couple of years. Figured it is finally a good time. Just pulled all the wheels off and getting on it. Using the exact same black wheels although quite a bit more beaten up.

Eric, glad you’re going first! I was worried my wheels were too banged up, may just need to grind a few spots to get the inner rings to fit. What rings do u have?

What's up Josh! Like I said I bought them a while ago... Still in the box they came in. Looks like I got them from AtoZ fabrication. Just standard 3" rings. I'm thinking about adding some anti-coning spacers in there. They are 1/4" thick, 32 holes for 3/8" bolts.

Just going to pound the rim so it is somewhat round and close to the ring all around and then start welding. Think I am going to space the ring out some so you run a fillet weld and don't have to grind as much. Hopefully will help with keeping them airtight too.

I still can't get the lockers to engage on the LX450 I just bought. It's a '96. The CDL light comes on when I put it in low but the indicator lights just flash for the diffs. The ABS light oesn't come on either, but it doesn't come on when you turn the key on without starting the engine so maybe the bulb is out? I put it up on jack stands put it in and out of low 50 times, put in forward and reverse multiple times and rotated the tires by hand. Drove it up and down a muddy road and spun the tires going up and down some bankings in forward and reverse. Still nothing. Any ideas?

what are you guys using for hardware?
I have AtoZ weldon beadlocks on buggy. I used 3/8 grade 8 bolts with nylock nut from macmaster carr. Had to tighten the once or twice since 2011.
