Finally got the draglink from 4x4Labs after a month of waiting, and it's wrong!
First thing was just trying to get in touch with them, 11 phone calls and I never did
speak with anyone. Gave up and emailed, that seemed to work. He had all my info
and still sent the part to the wrong address so it was returned to them. I checked the message
I had sent and it told them I had a 60 series steering box and hi-steer arms that were drilled for
one ton TRE's. I guess I should have also said the the box still used the 60 series pitman arm.
so now I have the draglink with one tons on both ends. Anyone have a reamer?
This has not been a good experiance at all! I'm glad that I will not have to deal with them again,
Installation of DieHard 31M and lots of rework of auxiliary wiring. Used up two dozen heat-shink terminals in no time at all. Need to borrow someone's pet monkey to help rewire the knock sensor into the harnes....
Taking the pitman arm up to Performance Unlimited in Vt. (Gary's friend Rodney) today and they are going to
ream it out for me. Looked all over town yesterday and could'nt find any kind of machine shop to do it.
Things are looking up!
Does anybody have any experience with the 350 chevys and Edelbrock 1406 carburetors? I rebuild mine with my neighbor. We installed smaller injectors and off road needles so it wouldn't stall out while going up the inclines. It starts right up and idles very nicely. When I took down the road today It was hesitating off the line. When I give it more gas it wants to jump forward. Any ideas would be great.
I am planning on bringing my fj40 up to the fall gathering. Thanks
Thirdmember is leaking, looks like there is a gap at the bottom where it didn't seat right.
Hope that I can just loosen up the nuts and try drawing the bottom in first. Don't want to
pull the axles back out.
