The 60 or 40? Depends on the day...
To quote one of my life mentors "I'll put her up on the bench and see where she wants to go"

Ultimate 60 would be 2H 5speed family camper/weekend adventurer but we'll see where she ends up. 40 is staying bone stock.

Added a few things this weekend:

Actually got a lot accomplished this weekend,
Installed beadlocks
Installed electric fan
oil change
tranny filter & oil
fixed a couple leaks
mounted the GoPro roll cage mount
fixed electrical problem with my winch
& evicted a couple dozen spiders from the rig

I think next weekend you need to come to Swanzey and finish my 40.
Tried to order parts from 4x4 Labs today but nobody's home.

I know, you have to call and call and keep calling them, slackers.
What is left on your 40 to do?

finally had some time to install the 9" under my buggy today, still need to weld the lower shock mounts and plumb the rear brakes.

So what is the next thing in line that will start breaking? :flipoff2:

I'm up to 11 calls and haven't managed to speak to anyone. Was a message at home last night from Luke "tag, you're it". Unfortunatly that
doesn't get the parts to my door.

I think I had better luck emailing him

Thats the only way I've made contact. But it's 2014, if you want to sell parts either have someone there to answer the phone or have a secure online method. This attitude of "good luck getting in touch with us" is a dumb way to do business.:bang:

That stinks Lane. I would be ripping. Must be vaca time for them. Everyt time I have called they pick right up.

Email from 4x4labs, they swear it will go out today, we'll see.
Was in the shop at 7:30 this morning. Grinding out a bunch of less than ok
welds. Try again and they look like s***. Getting no gas to the tip, brand new bottle.
Trouble shoot and find that the cable to the gun has slid out a bit so the port for the
gas isn't lining up, fix that and tighten it up. Ok works good now! welding away and s*** stops again,
out of wire now. Ok, airgas is only 10 minutes away, "no we're out of that wire, maybe in a few days"
What the hell, its a welding place you'd think it would be something they keep around. So now I'm at Home Depot,
yay they have some!
Back home, finished up the brackets. Made a bit of diff armor from some 1/2" flat stock I had laying around. No torch so
so I'm heating it up using charcoal the bending it. Lots of fun!
Anyway, the axle is in place. Now I have to figure out tabs for the shocks. Passenger side is simple but the steering box is in the way
on the drivers side.

Changed both solenoids on my little rear suck down winch just now. That crap broken for over a year now. Ready for saturday. Also finished installing the 9" axle. Will see how it holds up.

9" axles are legendary. It should hold up fine.
