would look great on my black cruiser

i was speaking more to the circular design/layout with the outter band of text and then inner image of a 40. It's nothing new and is kind of plane jane....... since the 40 is the :iconic" symbol why not really focus in on a feature such as the bezel which is an immediately recognizeable landcruiser feature and make that a main feature of the design...... something like the first OTMT t-shirts

and our cruisers are not dated because they are actually from that period

does look a little dated but aren't most of our Cruisers?

Would a 40 bezel be immediately recognizable to someone outside of the Cruiser community? - or are we focusing more on the Cruiser community? Could go either way depending on how you look at it.

Oh, almost forgot.... :flipoff2:

no I doubt people outside of the offroad community would recognize a bezel....... but along those same lines I don't think having a 40 in the center of the decal would be recognizable either........... the simple fact is for the most part people outside of the 0ffroad community see a 40 and think "jeep" so that may just be a lost battle all together :flipoff2:

if I only had graphic design skills I could quit talking and actually do something :o

Thread hijack! Had a nice couple stop by during their walk last night to talk about Jeeps.
Her: Do you 'restore jeeps.'
Me: I work on my Land Cruiser.
Her: O, well we like your Jeep.
Me: Its a Land Cruiser.
Her: Oh, its nice.
Me: Thank you
Her to husband: Hun, whats a Land Cruiser?
Him: Its like a jeep.
Me: <<<shakes head>>>
Her: O, OK...I like his Jeep. Let me know if you see any Jeeps for sale.

I think this is what JP is looking for in design . . . .

perhaps this:

My eyes, my eyes!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: To stay on topic, I like the sticker Marshall posted though I am not a big sticker person in general and don't have them on any of my vehicles.

I don't know about that... I scraped off quite a few kiddie stickers if I remember right.

I'm not big on stickers either. Have UC and a Slee but that's it. I prefer understated and simple.

I'd use that B/W one.

I kinda like it, but if I were going retro, I prefer the STLCA sticker. I just like the "Rat Fink"/slightly exaggerated look better.
