I've seen a lot of cruisers sitting on market for months and prices dropping. Decent ones with 12ht, 1hdt etc. I think some price corrections are coming. Along with all vehicles, houses etc.
Yeah, I can't imagine any SUV is a popular option right now.

Diesel is a bit of a pill at the moment too.

Red Rooster, gas was 2.09, diesel 2.53. don't think I've seen that big a difference before.

Cruisers were more fun when they were cheaper, so I don't mind if the prices drop.

X2
I’m either too cheap or they’re too expensive… I don’t mind either.

Given I plan to keep mine till I die… and even then my sons will fight over it, its $$$ value is irrelevant.

Compared to do much these days that doesn’t seem terrible… a far cry from a few years back when 60s were $3000-5000.

That said, depending on their definition of new, they may have spent close to that for all the new parts and labour involved. One would think they wouldn’t sink a ton into it if the frame or body were Shiite. :D

Lots of potential here. Truck just needs some clean-up and TLC.

For a rig with 215,000 km on it $15,056 doesn't seem that bad. I'd think the whole electrical system could be replaced in less than 200-300 hours (unless they're a lot more complex than I imagine). Not sure what, "Exhaust and motor needed TLC to put removed parts back in..." translates into in terms of time and effort.

The solar panel stuck to the hood doesn't seem ideal in terms of heat retention... not ideal IMHO.

Looking at the pictures, I don't think there is any electrical that can't be fixed in a couple days. Mainly pulling all the s*** out that guy put in there, lol.

Lift, double air lockers, re-gearing, bumper, manual trans, etc. make this a decent deal.

The 200-300 hours may be how long it would take them to fix it. I don’t think I’ve ever seen residential breakers used in a vehicle for 12/24v DC applications.

I figure my frame swap only took 100 or so hours and a significant amount of that was sandblasting and painting the new frame. It wasn’t rewiring the whole truck… but 1/2 way there.

I don’t know. It’s got that red tipped snorkel disease - it’s gonna need shots. Rode hard, put away wet. So if it doesn’t sell then it will be $19K in the fall?

Interesting truck. I've started with worse pretty much every time.

:meh:

Bet a half day pulling out p.o. wiring hackjobs would get you pretty close. Not like it needs any of that s*** to run.

That wiring looks like something one of sparky's at work would do. Watching that crew trying to fix a snow plow last winter was embarrassing.
Pretty amazing how little some of them know about automotive wiring.
Mind you, I doubt any of them have ever worked on their own vehicle.

If I wasn't so overloaded, and actually lived at home I'd buy it. Probably take 1-2 days to clean out all the crap wiring.
Remove anyting that doesn't actually make it run. Simple. I didn't have a stereo in the 60 for almost 10 yrs.
If I had a $1 for every pound of crap wire I'd removed from PO vehicles, I'd probably have enough to buy that
thing.

Yep. 24v truck are their own special universe for previous owners wiring hackjobs.

8 years into my 61 and still no 12v draws.

If I was in the market I'd check that thing out for sure. I'd still rather have a 70 than a 60, but not badly enough to actually put effort into it.
