This auction is Wednesday. Would be interesting to see where the bidding goes. I’m going to
put in an early bid. Really wish they had sold these single cabs more often in Canada. They are really
common all over the US.
Wow!! This thing went for $9500 USD. 30 yr old reg cab pick up. Nothing surprise me after this.

Pretty cool truck.

Not a fan of the front bumper.... Too rich for me anyhow.

Well, if he paid $3K just for the Warn winch he paid too much but seems he had money to burn.
Are the power window buttons in the center console then? Sure nice truck though. 😎
Real macho ad. ‘Tin tops, hadn’t heard that before. Anyone know the reference?
But if anyone does buy it and wants to sell the soft top for a hard top let me know. 😏

He didn’t claim he paid $3k for it… only it’s worth $3k (used car sales man overinflated price).

I’m sure he’s referring to steel non-removable hard tops.

Ah, hard tops. This vehicle can be seen in front of local Starbucks, right next to all the posers with
their dual purpose bikes.

Of course a ramsey shows up after I've spent a bunch of time and money on my warn p.o.s.
You don't like the 8274's? I've never used one?

You can always sell your rebuilt Warn and buy the Ramsey… you might even come out ahead $$$ wise

Maybe, but it's not really a priority. I don't use it enough to warrant the effort at this point.

And having spent a day making a new endplate I may as well stay with it now. Maybe I won't be as annoyed by a new brake. :meh:

I’m also hoping I’ll be happy with an 8274 since I have gone to the trouble of buying & mounting one.

The Aircraft Landing gear winch I had would drag an old sedan sunk down to its belly across a farmer’s field without breaking a sweat. It needs to be rewired, so it seemed easier to bolt on a working 8274. I’ll likely fix the old winch and mount it to a receiver hitch mount for the rear of either rig. It doesn’t have free spool so it’s not ideal… but it’ll pull all day long without getting hot.

Some landcruiser chromies with 31 x10.5 r15. Comox valley FB market place.

I don't like the way the brake works. Or really that it needs one.

I'm not much of a wheeler so for what I use it for, I prefer the lifting abilities of a worm gear.

Also the free spool is pretty nice with the Ramsey's.
Yep my brake s*** the bed about a year or two ago, still pulls but will not hold tension when idle.. But I do like the options for this winch, 9hp motor upgrade twin motors if you need to pull your truck in half.Think there is a custom brake for it also..

Any Cruiser from South America is almost 99% of the time beaten hard, seen two in person and complete junk. And one local payed big money for a 1979 fj45, fuel tank under the truck. The things that were done to this truck was beyond terrible work man ship.

The not holding tension thing is a bit of a deal breaker for me.

I have a rebuild kit for the brake in mine waiting to go in. I'm curious to see what it's like afterwards.

Just been taking a bit of a breather from the grease and rust lately. I have a couple weeks off coming up, so maybe then.

Kit cost more than I paid for the winch, so hopefully it doesn't make me regret not buying another Ramsey. :meh:
