i dunno which ones i want to buy i want the best i can get but still being around $200.00ish a tire. I use the truck for pretty much everything i want something that sticks strong in rocks and will do ok in mud im sure all of the will do in mud what i would need them for i really just wanna know what is better in the rocks.

ive read the interco site but want real world experiences.

i want Bias ply, im NOT concerned with noise at all, street manners will be second to offroad ability in this case.

will be runnin 36-38's (tho i think 37's will be my best bet as i will be using my ome springs) depending on what she looks like after the SOA so i still have some time left but i want to decide now as not to worry later Im kinda leaning towards the IRoks but goin by what i was told by someone the other day now im second guessing myself.

LTB's are the only Bias ply interco sells. I believe. maybe the regualr swampers. as far as being able to get a swamper in a 38 for $200 a tire is going to hard to do unless you go used. the irok's would be my choice (I am looking at these for myself) but spendy at close to $260 or so a tire.

dig around for used and grab a set of Irok's, SSr's, or even the TSL's and I think you would be happy with any one of them.

I would vote for the iroc but as posted above might be a little pricey. Used is always a good option. Next would be the TSL (what i am running) works well wish the sidewall was a little softer but it works great all the other places. Do a little of sipping on the tire and you will be set

i have the iroks on my 40 and yet to try them.
i hear the truxs are a real good all round tire.
any of the swampers are not going to last more than 30k IMO because of the soft compound they use (could b e one of the best all round off road tires because of that)
and you get a true tire size with Interco.

you might want to check out the Cooper Discovery MTs
we've seen the new tread pattern and it looks pretty sweet.
not sure about thier sidewall rating though.

you can get the iroks in a bias tire, my 36s were $180. each.
but i had a connection ;)

If you don't care about road noise or driveability the LTB is friggen unreal. I just couldn't stand to drive around on them.

I love my SX's they have the best side walls of all the swampers MORE PLYS and the tread is steel belted but not a radial I siped the center tread and in K-rocks and Trees they work great no top ,so... I stay away from full on mud but the did real well at Twister last year with all the rain before it

also I've seen alot of Iroc flats in the tread and side wall on the trail and at work as well as 2 guys with blazers get less that 12k on them on the street :crybaby:

all the tires i posted above are made in bias ply. the irok bias can be had for 220 a tire and the S/X's roughly the same maybe a lil more. i do not want used tires unless they are a good deal and only have maybe 1 run on em.

They dont make the LTB in a size i would want so unfortunatly that wont work for me. if i were to stay sprung under i would prolly go LTB def best for the buck but alas no 37's i plan on spendin round $1,000 for tires and i have narrowed it down to 3 choices (realy 2 Irok and S/X's) Yes the iroks dont last long on the road but im not looking for that really. I hear they are great for rocks but if i can make the S/X as good or better in the rocks by siping them then i will do that. as i also thing the S/X would be better in the mud and last longer on the road...

meh still early i want more opinions from those of you that have run these tires.

All of them are bias except for some radials they have recently come out with.....

The Toyo MT has a better sidewall, less road noise, and better wear then the Cooper. Both have real good sidewall traction, and both look really nice. They are definitely not as narly as interco's.

A few of the guyz I wheel with have the TSL's and love them...
When my BFG's go, Im gonna be looking at the above choices as well.
Im kinda leanin toward the SX's for that little extra traction on the sidewalls.
I kinda wish that Id have done those in the first place, but I didnt want to go THAT big of a tire without the added security of the longfields...Heard too many horror stories about big tire breakage on stock birfs...Just my own hang up though...

Look forward to hearing what you go with and what you think of em!

I stand corrected. I always assumed that the early Swampers and the LTB's were the only Bias ply tire they made. That is good to know.

Sorry for the miss information.

I really really really really like my Iroks... However they are SUPER SUPER SUPER soft and do not get good mileage on the road. I really limit driving on my Iroks. I would say go for them though if you dont have to drive your cruiser alot. My next choice would be SXs due to the reasons that Kling-on listed. The MT style tires do ok offroad but I dont really consider them great off the pavement... however they are significantly better on the road.

SX has the strongest sidewall. and will perform adequately in the rocks. Unbelieveably strong sidewall.

Irock, has a good sidewall, not huge strong but definately stronger than any radial out there including most bias play's as well. better traction that a SX or a TSL. Lots of new technology associated with the Irok. IMHO, the best all around tire of the selection.

TSL, Original mud tire. strong sidewall (reasonably) but not as strong as a SX (and an Irok IMHO). OKay traction on the rocks. Better choices out there.

If you get 20K worth of road miles out of a set of swampers you are doing well. Great tires, but they are not that street friendly.

yea i like to drive my truck alot so i need them to last at-least 1 year... i dont expect much longer than that out of them anyways and would plan a budget of around 1k a year on tires as a precaution. i guess if i get the TSL's Ill get them siped and i would assume they would last longer on road as well over the Iroks. I dont see much ice or snow so i could care less bout traction in that sort of weather. the stronger sidewall is a bonus to me as i like to keep the air PSI as low as posible when playing.

sx's and sipe them..

On the road, keep the PSI up. They will last a lot longer.

kinda the way i was leaning since i like to drive my truck so much. and she is driven to and from the trails.

I siped the 36" SX's on my 40 and have had no "chunking" issues. I only siped the middle section and only had them siped to 1/2 of the depth.
