I need new tires and have original rims. Things are really back logged. They don't make the original Michillens anymore and to fined a 275 70 r16 is tough. What else fits the original rims without issues. Thanks Frank

Another vote for 265/75-16. If you want to stay more or less stock, it's the way to go.

Edit: for a specific recommendation, I've been running Nokian Rotiiva HT light truck tires that I found on the Walmart site at a ridiculous discount. They were supposed to be temporary while I waited on a deal on 33s, but I'm not feeling in much of a hurry to get rid of them. People compare them to Michelin Defenders, which I think were the replacement for the LTX M/S.

I did 285/75/16 which works fine with stock suspension, although there is a slight noticeable decrease in acceleration due to the taller equivalent gearing.

Sticking a little closer to stock may be preferable, couldn't get these tires installed at Costco or Discount Tire which would have been my preference due to service/warranty. They both refused to go beyond 5% increase in overall diameter, and 285/75/16 is a little over that.

Another vote for 265/75r16. Michelin Defender LXT M/S are still the best road tire for a truck money can buy. Prove me wrong.

I could see that from Costco maybe, but Discount is incredibly inconsistent. They've been putting 37's on my truck for years, and I'm pretty sure they are more than a 5% increase... maybe it's a Cali thing.

I use Quaker State 5W-30 oil in mine and change it every 5000 miles.

Lifted?
Tow alot of weight (2000#+) often?
Ran 265/70's on stockers for 3 years or so - w/3" lift. About the smallest you'd want to go probably.
And shew-buddy was it a looker.

Thank you for all the info......the truck is stock no lift was just concerned about rubbing its been really hard to find tires so thought I would see if there were different size options to give me a better chance of finding something.

40s is the only answer, OP.

Kidding aside, the first response is spot on - no suspension adjustments should be needed either.

Last September I had Costco mount KO2s in 285/75 16, but I had to bring the tires in off the vehicle. No biggie, I tossed 'em in the Taco

Has to be a Cali thing since Discount just smiled and said "those 285s are going to look great on there."

No, it has to do with who's behind the counter.

I rolled in with my LC for a new set of 285/75-16's and they told me they wouldn't fit.

I asked him to step outside with me for a moment.............

What’s your intended use?

Ha had that happen once. Then they look out the window.

What Tire is right for me?

This is an old post, but should give you plenty of information and was vital to my tire decision making.
