Either me or my dealer are clueless on this…
I want to swap the tires on my incoming LC for 275s (instead of the original 265s). He quoted me a price for the new tires ($425/tire) which are actually 285s - which I don’t want). I responded that I should get a credit for the tires they’re getting from the vehicle when it comes to them. He asked me why I should get a credit. I explained the above to him and that other dealers do this.
He just replied that sadly, they are not other dealers and I would be getting two sets of tires if I want something different. Good grief!
So I’m wondering if discount tires would give a decent credit for the original set. Appreciate any advice.
