I have 32s right now with a slight lift. I'd like at least 33s but I don't need tires so spending that money for only 1 inch difference maybe isn't worth it. Considered 35s - now that would make a difference.

Issue is that I will probably be off-road less than 1% of the time, if ever.

What is your opinion - what's a good size that looks tough, but for street use only. Would any go with 35s for primarily highway?

Thanks

If you aren't planning on off road application, then 35's are too much...If you're planning on having the baddest 4X4 grocrery getter, then 35's are your answer...

I have a 76 I just converted from 35s to 33 x 10.5 BFGs...you wont be disappointed. I wish you used it more off road than 1% but even with 33s you can do lots of wheelin.......now if its over curbs or rocks is your call.

Sell the 32s first, then upgrade to BFG AT 33x10.5s.

x2 on 33x1050's . I'd have suggested 33x9.50 AT's for the skinny look but according to BFG they aren't in production and I doubt you'd find a vendor with that size in stock.

I'm loving the 33 9.50's and hope someone steps up and makes them again by the time I need some. If not it will be 33 10.50's. Several choices there.

Tire Heaven

I love my 33x10.50s. The Toyos are wicked sweet!!!!!!
I spend about 30% offroad with them and around town they are great. I have a gps speedo that tells me how fast my "Overdrive" is and it really helps. I'd rock the tall skinnys for sure.

Could any commit on the effect different tire sizes have on braking? How much will braking be effected with tire size changes?

Id keep the 32s until they need to be replaced. I'd swap in some 3.70 gears from a newer 60... if you're lucky, you can pick up a raip of diffs for $100.

When it's time, BFG 33x10.50s and the 3.70s will net a 25% overdrive. You won't recoup the cost of 33s from any sort of fuel savings.

I have 32 BFG AT.s on mine. If you are slictly doing street look at a 31 with a less aggressive tread. 35.s would be to mich for strictly street.

So, what lift is needed to clear the 33 X 10.5's? Also about 30% offroad...

2 1/2" OME lift on my BJ42 clears 33x10.50x15s just fine.
