@gaijin

I need to replace TPMs sensors (hopefully just sensors n not system).

I went to Costco and the have their own wheel sensors; DiII. I haven’t gone to Americas tire yet which is where I’ve always gotten my tires so not sure what sensors they install.

From research looks like 2013 LC200 OEM is pacific.

Do I need to do TPMS replacement at dealership or would it be fine at one of the tire stores or even Costco?

TIA
The Denso/Pacific sensors will probably last the longest, but the tire shops generally use universal sensors that will work in just about any vehicle. The biggest problem with "bringing your own sensors" is the tire shop will probably not guarantee they are going to work. Plus the added chance of ordering Densos online and getting fakes (most people have good success ordering them from reputable parts places like Rock Auto).

I foolishly ordered the cheapest Denso's I could find on eBay and ended up with fakes. Didn't realize it until my tire place had already installed them, when entering the codes didn't work. Of course, the eBay store just told me to send them back and they'd gladly refund me but getting them back out of the wheels would have cost more money than I paid for the sensors. Ultimately the fakes are still working now 3 years later, so it hasn't been a total bust. Luckily my tire shop helped me get them working. My fakes had codes stamped on them, but they were not the codes the sensors were actually using. My shop used their wireless scanner and got the codes for me and i entered them in through techstream.

All that to say, Denso/Pacifics are probably the best, but I'd probably just take the ones my tire place wanted to use if I had it to do over again. That way if I had a problem with them, they'd be on the hook for getting them working. Although their sensors were more expensive than Densos from a reputable source. So who knows, this is where my laziness and my frugality collide.

Hello, may I please have a tire pressure recommendation for my FJ60 with 33 x 10.5 x 15 BFGoodrich KM3s? And I usually put more air in them when I am loaded down with 20 extra gallons of gas and 33 gallons of water for an extended overland trip into the Canyonllands. So I am at 5800 lbs fully loaded. Only asking for road use. thank you.

Hey @gaijin, curious if you'd be able to tell me the recommended tire pressure for a 2015 LC with the new Falken Wildpeak at4w in a 275/70/18? Thanks in advance for your help!

If you are referring to the LT275/70R18 125/122S Load Range E tires, then:

The RCTIP for those LT275/70R18 tires on your LC200 is 41psi F/R.

I only advise on LC200/LX570, but you can do the math for yourself using the following excellent monograph on the subject published by Toyo Tires:

Guidelines for the Application of Load and Inflation Tables

Lots of good general tire info, too.

@gaijin Could I bother you for the recommended pressure for the:

MICHELIN® DEFENDER® LTX® M/S 2 285/65R18 116T XL BSW

on a 2015 LX570?

Thanks in advance!

If I may summon @gaijin. Will you kindly advise on pressures on 285/65 R18 116T SL Falken AT3s on a 2009 LX?

(Side note, this is one of those sizes where there is some consensus that the table shouldn’t be followed. The RCTIP is lower than the OEM RCTIP on your OEM placard. I personally would recommend to not run lower than the posted RCTIP on your door jam, but I also am just some guy on the internet).

@gaijin what about psi for an 09 lx570 with 275/65r20 Kenda Klever AT2?

You’ll need to provide the load rating if that’s an ISO metric tire. Once you have that, you can check the link above.

Wow, never would’ve guessed 30psi. I usually run 32 so not too far off, but always considered my pressure to be low, interesting it could go even lower!

Edited my original post but load range E 123/120

Howdy all. I've searched for days and have found tons of info on E and C rated KO2 tires but nothing on the D rated. Hoping gaijjn and/or others can help. Much obliged.

Vehicle is a 2012 Land Cruiser 4.5 D4D diesel premium trim. Tires are LT285/65 R18 121/118R load range D BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2. On the sidewall- "121/118 R at 450kPa" and "max load single 1450kg (3195lbs) at 65psi cold"

Load range doesn't really matter as it pertains to RCTIP. Since you have a diesel model that isn't from USDM, you probably need to post a picture for you RCTIP placard in the door jam to get the type of RCTIP response generally handed out in this thread.

There doesn't seem to be any tire pressure info on the door. I don't have the manual either. Some digging came up with 35psi for the D4D 4.5 turbo diesel with stock 285/60R18 tires but this is from a random site so not sure how trustworthy that number is. The manual I found online has no pressure numbers.

So, assuming this is a ISO Metric 285/60R18 (Load Index 116), then the "by the book" RCTIP for a LT285/65R18 is 45 PSI.

If the OEM spec tire is actually P Metric or XL rated tire, it could be something different.

Thank you for the response and info. The tires it had on it when I bought it were 116 load index 285/60R18 Goodyear Efficientgrip 2 SUV.

After a more thorough search of the online manual I found this. Since I am not in the EU it looks like my vehicle is rated at 33 psi with the stock 116 load index tires.
