@gaijin Wow, your input is incredible and appreciated. If you have a paypal, please post it

After an outright rabbit hole of research I am still not sure on what I should be running. Can you please give your suggestion?

a quick search didn’t pull up the Yokohama Geolander M/T G003 37x12.5R17 LT 124Q 8pr under an 08’ LX570

@gaijin could you kindly give us that recommendation?

Thank you!

Mr @gaijin ,

Would you please let me know what the recommended tire pressure for the LT285/65R18 E/10 125/122S Falken WILDPEAK A/T3W on a stock body (but lifted) 2013 LC200 (on Tundra 8x18 take offs)?

Also, I see that many of the recommended tire pressures are in high 30s if not low 40s. Why so high?

Back in the days I owned a Rubicon on 315/70/17 KO2s and I would run around 33 psi which some thought was a little high.

Is it simply the weight difference of the 200 series that makes it so that higher psi is needed?

Thank you!

The RCTIP (Recommended Cold Tire Pressure) for those LT285/65R18 Load Range E tires on your LC200 is 42psi Front/Rear.

Here's a link to an excellent monograph on tires and pressures published by Toyo Tires: Guidelines for the Application of Load and Inflation Tables

That should answer your questions.

Falken Wildpeak R/T01 285/75R17 C1 load on 2019 LC200. @gaijin if I used the calculator I have the RCTIP as 37 to 38psi. Am I in the right range?

Your use case is so far outside the normal operating conditions for the LX570, that I am not confident in giving a RCTIP.

My best personal recommendation is to try various tire pressures between 25psi and 35psi until you find one that works best for your particular use case. As far as safety goes, anything above 25psi is OK, but on road handling may suffer.

Sorry I can't be more definitive.

Ok. I understand.

So asking about the Mickey Thompson 42X13.50R17LT also under an 08’ LX is probably out of the question 😆

Yeah... I only have data for the 42x14.50R17LT... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The other one is there new 42” Baja Boss M/T just released 👌🏼

My recommendation would still be the same - anything above 25psi so the tire doesn't overheat on the highway, and whatever pressure above that to make you happy with your particular use case. Trying to find an "ideal" or "correct" tire pressure for everyday use with these tires would be an exercise in futility - everybody would be different.

@gaijin

I need to replace TPMs sensors (hopefully just sensors n not system).

I went to Costco and the have their own wheel sensors; DiII. I haven’t gone to Americas tire yet which is where I’ve always gotten my tires so not sure what sensors they install.

From research looks like 2013 LC200 OEM is pacific.

Do I need to do TPMS replacement at dealership or would it be fine at one of the tire stores or even Costco?

TIA
