@gaijin not sure if you're still watching this thread. I went into discount tire to pickup some nokians I pre-ordered online, turns out someone else picked them up right before me. I got stuck with blizzak DMV2s P275/65R18 114R without doing enough research. Is this load rating suffice?? It's an lc200 with roof rack and heavy rock sliders

The RCTIP for those P275/65R18 114R tires on your LC200 is 33psi F/R which is good up to the GVWR.

@gaijin I'm upgrading my 2021 LX570 from stock 21-inch wheels to 18-inch wheels and going to install Michelin Defender LTX M/S LT285/65R-18 LT tires. What's the RCTIP for this setup? The manual says I need to add 6 psi (33 -> 39) to rear tires when towing with the 21-inch wheels. Do I need to do the same to these 18-inch tires when I tow my 5000 lbs travel trailer? Thank you!

The RCTIP for those LT285/65R18 tires on your LX570 is 37psi F/R.
In light of the guidance in your manual for towing, I would recommend increasing rear tire pressure to 42psi under similar circumstances.

If you mean the LT275/60R20 E 123/120Q, the RCTIP for those tires on your LX570 is 40psi F/R.

2011 LX 570 with P285/50r20 is stated at 33psi
Im looking to get the falken AT3W in either
LT285 /70 R17 121S E1 RBL
Or step that up to a 75 profile.
My math told me 45 psi for both sizes.
I also tried the 1.1 discount in the other direction and got ~38psi for the 70 profile and ~36 for the 75 profile.
I would really appreciate if you could straighten me out.

Sure! Let's take it step by step:
For the LT285/70R17:
1. P285/50R20 @ 33psi = 2315 lbs Load Limit
2. Since you are going from a P-Metric tire to an LT-Metric tire, apply the 1.1 correction: 2315 / 1.1 = 2105 lbs Load Limit
3. Find LT285/70R17 (Single) in the Toyo Tables and follow over to find 2105 lbs: This is in the column for 35psi
4. Ergo, the RCTIP for the LT285/70R17 tire on your LX570 is 35psi F/R
And for the LT285/75R17:
1. P285/50R20 @ 33psi = 2315 lbs Load Limit
2. Since you are going from a P-Metric tire to an LT-Metric tire, apply the 1.1 correction: 2315 / 1.1 = 2105 lbs Load Limit
3. Find LT285/75R17 (Single) in the Toyo Tables and follow over to find 2105 lbs: The first column (35psi) shows 2215 lbs which is more than what you need, but is the minimum safe inflation pressure for LT-Metric tires so you use this minimum
4. Ergo, the RCTIP for the LT285/75R17 tire on your LX570 is 35psi F/R

Youre the best man. I had my first number wrong, I was getting 2447 for my initial load limit. Guess I got kind of close but then again on a scale of 35-40 being 3 numbers off is just bad math at the end of the day.
One thing that confused me is the discount. If a P rating is discounted on a a truck by dividing by 1.1 then wouldnt you want to multiply by 1.1 to get the LT load?

If the Tire Pressure Label on the Driver's side door jamb has a P-Metric tire (e.g. P285/50R20) and you want to replace it with an LT-Metric tire (e.g. LT285/50R20) then you need to divide the Load Limit for the P-Metric tire by 1.1. In my example above, your P-Metric P285/50R20 tire's Load Limit has a P-Metric Load Limit of 2315 lbs. In order to replace that P-Metric tire with an LT-Metric tire, you first need to determine what the equivalent LT-Metric Load Limit is. This is found by dividing the P-Metric Load Limit of 2315 lbs by 1.1 resulting in an LT-Metric Load Limit of 2105 lbs.
If you were replacing with a different size P-Metric tire, then no conversion would be required.
If the Tire Pressure Label in the Driver's side door jamb had an LT-Metric tire, and you wanted to replace the stock tires with a P-Metric tire, then you would have to multiply the LT-Metric Load Limit for the stock tires by 1.1.

Well things changed. Back in January I ordered toyo AT3 285/70-17on my new Alapha Equip rims. Got a email last week from tire rack that they won’t be available until late June. Then tried for Michelin defenders (also June to July) and wildpeaks (possibly May). I’ll need them early to mid May when I take my studs off. My only option ended up duratrack or KO2s. I had KO2s before. Although not my favorite tire, nothing bad to say. And they were $300 less then the Toyo for the set. I’m glad the Rims were on close out otherwise I would have waited until March or April and likely been in worse shape for options.
pressure the same for KO2 LT285/70-17 C 116/113Q?
And how about with an extra 600 lbs. which is my RTT, extra spare, drawers, recovery gear, compressor,…. Everything I take when we caribou hunt up north
