for those with rear bumper tire carriers which way to you swing and do you have any regrets?

Mine is on the RH 'cuz that's where Mr Slee put it. I like it on the right and it allows me to use the JDM license plate mount.

Mine is on the passenger side and I have no regrets, what so ever. Since I made my own rear bumper/swing arm, I was able to place the tire perfectly so it doesn't impair the rear field of vision too much. The whole thing is removed for the winter and stowed away inside. I see no reason to have to lug around a spare when driving around locally. Plus, the wife appreciates not having to mess with the tire carrier when using the rear cargo area for cargo, dogs, etc.. Additionally, it's a good idea to protect the spare from U.V. damage.

Mine is booty, oh I mean custom fabbed and it seemed easier to put it on the right. didnt really think \much about it.

I'm a retard and voted drivers side when actually I made my swing out with the tire on the pass. side. Why? Cause everyone says the drivers side leans. With that said, I wished to offset my 275 lb. body. :D

PS w/no regrets

I guess the middle makes the least sense but that's where mine is.

Swings to the right (passenger side).

mine is on the left, it makes it easier to load the back from the sidewalk especially if you are parrallel parking and someone is behind you.

Same here

Your sig line answers my question as to size under that cover. Big 35's.

Mine too, same reason. Also, I'm more worried about the blind spots on the passenger side.

Man, that is a big tire :D

We are changing the 80 carrier to be the same as the 100 so the tire will be centered and we can get away from mouting the license plate in the center of the tire.

At least that is the plan, unless there is a lot of resistance on that.

Say it aint so.....:frown:

Then the nifty JDM plate bracket won't work.....:crybaby:

Slightly left of center...

Mine is original with the LC, right rear and swings right. Much safer as it doesn't swing into traffic. I also have the JDM plate bracket.

When I built my carrier I centered the tire and it swings to the right. I like the way it is.
