9 psi no bead locks. Haven't blown a bead yet but I run 13 inch wide tires on 8 inch rims

Yeah this helps a lot. I'll probably try 15-20 psi until I get the right number.

Rule of thumb is to start at 1/2 of the recommended pressure on the door jamb. I usually air down to 18psi right away, then drop to 16,14,12psi as conditions warrant. I'm running 315 km2s.

At 12 psi my grip is good but my ground clearance sucks. On snow ive gone to 8psi and it works great! Just don't try to drive out of ruts at that pressure (for fear of burping air).

Best air supply is an engine driven air compressor which is 100% duty cycle and will supply unlimited compressed air for you and all your trail buddies. Also the quickest non-depleting source. CO2 is fast and can be used as a fire extinguisher, but you have to pay to fill it.

Everyone else uses electric compressors. I've had an mv50 for years. I keep it as a backup source and it's often borrowed by my pals when they 'wheel without me.

I use an old denso ac compressor modified to work as an air compressor. 2 gal tank. Special bracket and belt. Plus a fancy pressure switch and manifold. But it takes up the spot that the supercharger would take, so if I want forced induction I'd have to rethink my OBA or else go with a turbo.

great pic! I run 15 normally. Also have the MV50 and I can get the 315's back to 40ish in around 35-40 min all 4.

I only air down to about 18 lbs. on my 315 KM2s. I would feel fairly safe down around 12 lbs but 18 seems to work fine and I am less concerned about pushing the tire away from the rim.

Team work = ease fix :) 2 guys holding the tire one ready with the inflator and another waiting for you to tell him to open the co2 tank with 300psi pressure :) lol
