Hello,

I am replacing timing belt for the first time, and I wasn't sure of the alignment I got. I matched all the marks when installing, rotated the engine several times, and finally pulled the tensioner. After that I ended up with the following situation. Is this considered aligned or not?

Looks good! I assume you spun the crank 720 degrees, and land on these 3 marks. They'll all line back up, every two turns (720) of crank.

Thanks for the reply! I spun multiple times, my concern is in the first post - the driver side cam and crank are not 100% centered, and in the second post the passenger side cam is not 100% centered while the driver side and crank are. Am I overthinking this?

If you turn crank about another 50 degrees clockwise. Until crank pulley zero, is on the plastic nipple (protrusion) of #1 cover. Each cam mark, will then be on the "T"'s. Only turn clockwise. Keep in mind: 1 degree on crank is only 1/2 degree on cams.

BTW: You should have pulled pin of tensioner, before turning crank. But It looks good.

Thanks so much for confirming! Now I can go ahead and finish the assembly.
