So my 100 sustained some damage while parked inside my garage, long story, but me thinks it may be time for a blueberry bumper if I can convince the wife.

This still has the AHC working fine and as I read on this forum adding the front bumper shouldn't be too much weight for the system.

In order to keep this "tech" does anybody know how much further the blueberry sticks out from the front than the stock bumper? My garage is very tight and I have a few inches to spare, but not much.

Also attached a picture of the hood that will obviously need repainted.

Yes, the structural integrity of that bumper is compromised. You need a Blueberry;)

I just grabbed a tape and eyeballed mine. The recovery points stick out the farthest, about 7.25" measured from the bottom center of the grill. Good luck!

Thank you for the measurement 1407 driver, the stock bumper measures 3 inches from the grill so the blueberry will be an additional 4+ inches...may be tight, but I will find a way to fit it in there.

Fitzgerald: I would very much enjoy joining you on a club run. I have been trying to figure out how to get on some trails...I will get some things in place and look you guys up. I have been thinking about trying Metberry gulch...I think I can make it as it sits stock and of course still have the running boards.

OregonLC: yep...waiting for the replacement alternator to arrive fro CDAN last Friday and that morning someone decided they would try driving into my garage, and partway into my kitchen, without opening the garage door...what a mess. I had my rolling tool chest in the open bay that was struck by the car and then it slammed into the side of the hundy...not a good day. If you look closely at the hood pic on the left you can see the white car and the busted drywall.

Sounds good. I did Metberry a few months back with no problems in my relatively stock vehicle (33's and sliders). Didn't get close to touching the sliders.

Good luck on getting you truck repaired/modded and we'll be happy to see you on the trails.

Another Klaus!

Of the aftermarket bumpers, the blueberry probably sicks out the least though.

One Idea that I haven't seen anyone try is switching out the torsion bars in the LX for the OEM land cruiser ones. They're significantly stronger but not super stiff like the old man emus. I wonder if they'd help the AHC system deal with the additional weight and retain the different AHC settings.

Also, the torsion bars are adjustable.

One thing to figure out is moving your turn signals from the OEM foglights to the headlights.

Looks like mine minus all the scratches. I am wanting a blueberry too. Subscribed

That bumper has lost its effectiveness and needs to be replaced immidently!!!! It's very unsafe.

I just bought a 2000 and will be selling my 95...I called to order front/rear from Slee and he is changing manufacturing and there is not time table on being able to get them...after hours of calling/searching I have ordered both from Axxis along with 2.5 old mans and sliders...going all black and will post pics in a few weeks once it's finished....

I absolutely agree that the bumper is "not safe" and that's what I am telling my wife...but I called slee to inquire about lead time and it looks definitely open ended, but maybe end of summer. I guess I will look into this again then.

The Axxis products are a smart move for the 100, even though they are made in China. I am probably going to put them on my 100, but I would not use them on my old 80. You can get front and rear Axxis bumpers for less than the price of most accessorized rear bumpers and you can customize the Axxis with other parts/accessories, repowder, and still save money and not to mention weight. IMO these 100's just don't need anything as stout as some of the other bumpers on the market (Slee, BIOR, 4x4, ARB, etc), and I have owned most of those products and only have positive things to say about them.

ive also heard that the ARB Deluxe Bar Toyota Land Cruiser 100 Series 2003-07 (3413190)

will fit on a 98-2002 100 series with slight modification

only because the 2003+ has the cutouts for fogs

anyone done this? i couldnt find where i saw this or what was needed to mod

i too am considering bumpers and subscribing to this thread

They told me several weeks ago they had no plans to fit the 100 series with their bumpers yet.
