I've been meaning to measure to see if this will fit in the OEM location. Its about 5" deep. holds an 8" sub, sealed box.

I borrowed RichElliot's and SnakeEater's images as 'inspiration' for my box plan. :) I hope they don't mind.

Could this be something? Pioneer PIONEER TS-WX77A with builtin amp

I had this sub for a while. Well, I guess I still have it on my floor!

It's got 2 6.5" subwoofers inside with an amp built in. It's durable, thin, and not heavy. It takes up very little space, you can pile stuff on top of it, and remove it easily.

The sound quality is good, but don't expect a lot of SPL. I tried using it along side 2 12" Kenwood subs, and I couldn't hear any difference whether it was on or off. Still, it makes a huge difference over having no sub at all. It makes for a really nice full sound. It's a bit overpriced, though. If the PO didn't leave it in the car, I would have never been inclined to buy it. That's just personal preference though.

Looked everywhere for this speaker in the states. I don't think we can get them here. ANyone else know? I think it looks great!

This is what mine came with when I bought it. One big 18" in a custom leather box.

Pull that subwoofer out, and you have a nice big storage box!:grinpimp:

I think they may only be available in Japan/EU

Don't sweat it though, they run around $500 new. It's a solid unit, but I think you could get more for your money.

I stole the 10" Targa subs and 1cu ft ++ sealed box from my Patrol in the meantime. :) Takes up quite some space but I'm loving the boom.
