i'm doing calipers and rotors and a lspv. so also the rear axle but no front knuckle or birfield.
i'm laying things out for a quick re-assembly (it's 100dF most days) and i ran into two pair of short bolts that were in the rear axle muffin tin.
i think they were sitting in with the rear caliper bolts which are these long thin things.
to make things a little weirder i do see what i assume are my used front caliper bolts but i only see one pair.
you can also see the two pair of new front caliper bolts i bought.
so basically i have two "extra" pair of short bolts that i think were in with the rear axle parts and when i went looking through the used parts i am not re-using i only found one pair of the longer front caliper bolts.
anyone know what these are?
i did get into the four bolts on the back of the brake dust cover housing but i wouldn't have removed this so i'm at a loss.
any ideas?
THANKS

The shorties look like rear axle caliper mounting bolts
hey! THANKS.
totally appreciate this. it really beats crawling around on pavement in 100 degree temps or trying to figure it out during re-install.
i am (currently) thinking (?)
green is new front caliper bokts
yellow is old front caliper bolts (missing one pair for some reason)
blue is rear caliper bolts
red is unidentified.

what do you guys call the parts in that rear two piece caliper? like one part holds the pass and the other contains the piston? are there names for them?
EDIT: actually i can't actually tell what i am looking at in the drawing except o know there are two pieces to that caliper and th

Here's an easy way to keep track of bolts when you are working on these projects. Grab a cardboard box, flip it upside down, punch some holes in it with a screwdriver and insert the bolts as you remove them. Label each one with a marker on the cardboard box.

The best part is that its basically free and if you get delayed on a project (like I did on my 1.5 year NLA wiring harness saga) they won't go anywhere.
