Currently have an 80. She's old and tired but she's always been good to me. What do you guys think? I would most likely drive the 100 daily and get rid of my car (my current DD). I love my 80 but I'd like something a little newer with a few more creature comforts.

For daily driving....I think there is no comparison. I'd take the 100 every time. I have both and they are worlds apart in terms of comfort.

NO don't do it. I'm looking for another 100 and could do without more competition. :steer:

This was me 4 months ago. I bought the 100 series and love it. I still have my 80 series and love it for different reasons. My old, tired 80 (1994, 350k miles, stock suspension) is nimble and light footed when it comes to off-road travel compared to the 100. On the road the 100 is a dream and to be honest I haven't really pushed it off road. It's a really nice truck and I don't want to mess it up.
I'm keeping my 80 series. I get positively weepy when I think about selling it. (maybe too much information)

I doubt you'll find a lot of dissenters if you come to the 100 section and ask about getting a 100. Even die hard 80's guys have to admit that the V8 is awesome.

I looked at what type of 4wheeling I do (could really be called Expo) and went for the 100. I really wanted an 80, but living out west with the steep hills and elevation, the straight 6 engine was a deal breaker. The 100 is big, but you'll get used to it and pin striping. Doing long road trips is a breeze

I have both and prefer my 80 but I upgraded the seats to the manual cloth much more comfortable than the old leather. Currently selling my 100 as I have not driven it in months.

Have a 100 series and looking for an 80 or possibly 60. Not to replace the 100 though. For daily driving and for the family trips (long stretches of interstate driving followed by a week or 2 of getting as far into the wilderness as possible) the 100 is the perfect match in comfort, reliability, capacity, and capability. I just want the 60 or 80 for more local jaunts or when its just me heading into the woods. Plus I have a love for acquiring multiple generations of things. At one point I had 3 different generation Dodge crewcab Powerwagons.

I get it-----
I have a 40, 60, had an 80 and sold it, got a 100. The 100 is the best for traveling longer distances in creature comfort. It was a nice upgrade from the 80. It went off to college this fall. I hope to get it back. I like the 60 for everyday driving around. 40 for nice sunny day driving.

Oh man, I have my buddies 80 right now because his wife left it on street while her and my wife get picked up to go on girl's weekend. I immediately moved the 80 into my driveway when I saw it after work. Today I washed, clay barred, and waxed the 80. I now have a 80 and a 100 in my garage, with the wife's Odyssey in the driveway, under the tree. I really like how my garage looks at this moment.
