Taking Jack and Sara with me to the NEA meeting in Gloucester on Saturday. Can anyone give us some ideas for things for them to do while I'm in my meeting?

Thanks.

What everybody else does in Gloucester during the first week in March, in the rain and wind.

Drink.

Seriously we like going up there because it reminds us of cape (is that weird)?

Don't forget meth and heroin!

Serious question from a total woodbooger... is this a safe place fo me to have my son and wife be driving and walking around without me? I assume there's a museum and tourist type area there, correct?

yea its safe, stay away from the 'dive bars' drunk fisherman are an unmanageable force to be reckoned with!

All you can hope to do is grab some Grundens - Quality Foulweather Gear and hope to assimilate.

I think there is a fishing museum but I am not sure if its open this time of year.

Get some fried clams for me. Try woodmans or clam box out on 133 to Essex.

Man I miss those suckers.

totally safe and pretty. you will be pregnant before you leave though

Supposed to be over 50 degrees and sunny all weekend here

Just take the dog! They love water!

Oh haha.

Plenty of great stuff to do up there on Cape Ann, well up-stream of any AA or NA meeting. I grew up up there. Just walking the docks and waterfront can burn up a couple hours if you are a boat person. Take a quick tip up thru Annisquam, Pigeon cove and up/over to Rockport too. If weather turns bad check out the Hammond estate/museum (crazy inventor's home) and/or swing down to Salem and check out Peabody Essex Museum. Cool ship building museum in Essex too. For fried seafood: Farnums > Woodman's

I feel better.
