Wow, that's a whole lot of evap related repairs!

The only repairs were the chewed evap purge valve wire and the charcoal canister itself. The charcoal canister vent valve I replaced just so it would also be new along side the canister. It wasn't needed, I'm just weird like that. The evap purge flow sensor I replaced just to see if my purge flow data was wrong. It wasn't. So not really that much in the way of repairs, more just experimenting and baselining (for lack of a better term).

Even things like the MAF, PCV, Spark Plugs were strictly preventative.

Trying to decide what’s next for the 200. It’s about as perfectly built as I could want it to be, but the 80 is seeing all of the trail work and as much as I love the 200 for camping and long trips, neither are happening nearly often enough. Plus, the 80 has been great even on the longer trips. I’ve really been feeling the itch to get back on the track or maybe build a rally car or something, but the thought of selling the 200 is giving me the feels. Would love to hear from some folks with opinions. Many of you know me, some know me well, but we know each other because of this truck. That is no small thing for me. Entirely possible I’ll be looking back at this post in 18 years when I finally hit 200,000 miles and laughing.

Keep it. Make room for another.

Sell it. Get a rally car. If your 80 use is really far overlapping no need for multiple same same.

If you want back into a 200 they will still be available on the used market.

If you do keep the 200, remember to change coolant every 30000 miles.

Keep it a couple more years and then sell it to Gabe ;-)

Seriously though, what are the advantages of the 200 platform to you? If you love the 80, and it’s doing what you want on road trips, camping trips, and trails, and the 200 is really just collecting dust, it seems like you have your answer.

FWIW I feel the same way about our trailer right now. It got use really a couple weeks each summer the last two years. Gabe is a Junior so his years in it are numbered. It’s hard for me to feel the need to keep a triple bunk camper for a family of 3 campers. But I’ve also spent enough time and $ modding it to my liking, building the solar setup and tank monitoring, etc that I don’t want to let it go and then decide later I want something similar and end up doing it again. Plus, you know, memories and all that.
