I dunno - outside of trims/levels, they seem pretty much the same to me.
At least you admit to not knowing :p

It is a brilliant marketing coup to have them both considered pretty much the same though, so again kudos to Toyota.

Every parade needs a dark cloud in the distance

Nice to see your a Ray of sunshine

*You're

Other than the engine, transmission, suspension, electrical, etc. they both have 4 wheels so let's stick with 'very similar' as to not offend the faithful flock with the blasphemy of truth.

Here’s a video of another reviewer on that same Mt.Fuji course.

No - I’m well aware of the nuances between the model, and the “quirkiness” of JP’s
predilection for seemingly obtuse trim/model nomenclature.

FYI - you wandered out of the 100 to 250 thread. That seems to be where the haters are congregating.

Smitty!!! You must hate on the 250, what are you doing?

250 Bad and nothing ever remotely close to the capable proficient Gx…. Try and remember that.

😆
I still think the 250/GX forum is going to need a sperg containment zone for a few years.
Even when I joined, I remember all the 80 series guys talking trash about the big “Highlander” 200 series.
4th verse, same as the first….
🤣

Sure, let's also call them nuanced differences and any that doesn't march blindly in lockstep do so only because of hate. Obviously, that must be the only reason. While we're at it we may as well declare loudly that not including certain features actually makes it better.

Let us all go boldly into the bizarro world with joy and love.

To be fair - based on your other posts here in the 250 forum, you do come off as a bit of a hater. YMMV, obviously.

Anyways, I’m stoked about the 250/GX and I think it will be a great platform for the US.

Assigning bad faith motives for differing opinions is the most effective yet lazy way to dismiss and demean them, so No - not a damn thing fair about it.

Everyone should know, if you spend more money, it automatically makes the said purchase better.

And sometimes adding better features does cost more money. Sometimes there are direct effects of buying lower cost things. Some may not need, want or be able to afford those features, that's their own business but declaring not having them to be 'very similar' is what should have earned the eye roll.

To be fair too, the article mentions in talking with the Lexus International Prez, “There, he explained that composure and stability are higher priorities for the GX than raw feedback. It’s how Lexus elevates itself above, say, the new Land Cruiser that’s coming just down the line.”

So reading between the lines, the LC is for someone that wants more manual inputs/feedback for their wheeling, whereas the Lexus is set it and forget Ronco style.

Hope he doesn't get fired for hating the 250 :p

Yeah I thought that was interesting too. It will be neat to see some shootouts between the two versions!
