Put a good wax on the Warthog this morning. It’s gotten a little dull the last few months

Little polish. A little oil. Just right.

Hard to tell here but I waxed the rattle canned roof. It was so rough that I could not rub the white wax all the way out.

Fluid film to the rescue. I was able to get all the dry wax out with a little of my favorite potion

Good as it will get for a turd

Dandy looker, just dandy!

Hmmm, something.... something catching my eye right here... in this area....

Yeah. You should read back on this thread and see how this odyssey started. This was a total pile of s***.

My entire rear flares on both sides are poorly done by me with bondo and fiberglass and whatnot. One day if I can find some decent rear flares to get @nvrlose54 at Shaw Fab to weld in.

Until then the good thing is that it’s sealed from getting into the cab of the truck and I filled all the crossmembers and cavities up with expanding foam so nothing is getting inside the body

How did those 60 series Scuff plates work?? You use them in front to???

Those are 60 series scuff plates. I can confirm. I plan to use them on my 55 as well.

Rear axle time.

I hate this job. Not as much as the front axle but close

I’ve never done this before but I bought new OEM brake drums and pads. Not replacing the cylinders. They don’t leak. Seal only, no bearings.

This 3M brush did good on getting the old gasket off. I went with RTV on the inside gasket. The last paper gasket I used is leaking on my 60 and it makes me cry.

So, what was going on? leaky axle seal or just bad brakes.

I fixed my bad brakes by upgrading the booster from a mini truck to a new City Racer booster

That said, since I was going in her for an ARB install I decided to add new drums and pads.

My rear brakes worked but they were about 1/2 or more worn out.

In.

It’s quiet on the road and it locks up.

These things are really nice but damn. It is time consuming and very expensive. I can’t imagine what the bill would be to have someone do all this work.

I got a “free” compressor though.....
