Justin also added a mount on the swingount for a jawbreaker.

He also added a little support under the frame to beef up the weight load with the larger tires.

So, after talking to my friend at AGR about this Mini Truck power steering box, I’ve decided a couple things.

We can try to polish the seal surface more, but that may make the seal loose.

Also, the slack in the steering has to be in the box since everything else is new.

So......time to punt.

I’ve been researching Scout boxes and it turns out AGR makes a brand new Bronco box.

The bronco is like a Scout box but the pitman arm goes to the rear and not the front.

The good thing though, the AGR box can ne set up either way.

So. .....setting it up as a front Pitman Arm style. What Pitman arm are y’all using for the Scout Power Steering conversions?

@LAMBCRUSHER , @Lil'John , @tucker74 i think I saw all y’all chimed in on the old threads.

You have a Scout box too?
First go around a couple days after I bought the pig.

When I installed the Cummins the gear cover was close so I had to plate the frame to move it out 1/2"

You can see the plate here.

Summit racing had the D-shaft and both U-joint to fit the factory steering column and Scout box.

Right on. Must be a common spline up there. I just built a Saginaw form my 40 so I have some recent experience with the Double D stuff. Easy once you figure out the pieces

Got the brakes bled.

For the record, the old style (new) dual res old school masters have the same effect as the non-ABS on brake pedal.

I have a bad rebuilt mini-truck master it seems. At least that’s what it feels like.

Hard pedal that just won’t hook up. Kinda slides in there.

Ordered a new booster from City Racer.

@onemanarmy when I install the rear ARB I’m going to put new shoes and drums on the rear just to make it all done right. I’ll know by then if the OEM setup can handle the extra weigh of this hog. I feel like they should. My 60 is heavy and those brakes are more than adequate.

The new brake booster made that big of difference? I have disc in front and drums in rear. Stops better than all drums but still week.

Yeah. I had a rebuilt mini truck booster. The larger 40/55 City Racer booster made a very big difference.

The booster was not bad it was just insufficient. I never felt like the brakes were bad before adding the heavier fuel cell and tires and such.

That extra 1000# pushed them out of business

Was over at @under_psi ’s place this morning admiring the work he’s doing on his FJ40 and he asked me if I could use a box of 170mm Noico he bought.

This stuff is thick and mushy and designed to go over the 80 mil stick on stuff

I said hell yes and took it home and put it on the roof over the bubble wrap looking 80 mil.

I love it. Looks way better.

Took the entire box for the roof.
