Hmmm. That's interesting. Are they adjustable and can they be rebuilt like the Koni labeled shocks?

I'm not sure what a swivel hub is exactly but I'm pretty sure the shock is gone. Its a little disappointing as I would liked to use those funds for
something else on my list of needs but, oh well. Sorry for the poor pix. The daylight is gone for the day. Thanks for opining...
Is there evidence of oil splatter on the inside rim and tire?

No fortunately not. The pickup had been sitting in the garage for about a week and the oil was dripping down the side of the shock onto the lower shock mount. The trunnion seals appear to be fine so I'm pretty sure it's a shock issue. What brand of shock do you run? Does your Ute sit at stock height or have you lifted it?

Stock koni shocks are not adjustable only the deluxe version is why rebuild them when there rooted just buy new ones

The truck sits at stock height and I will advise on the shocks when I return home later this week.

You wouldn't happen to know part #s would you? Also, how would you rate the Toyota Koni's to Old Man Emu? OME seem to be prevalent and readily available here in the US compared to many of the options available to you guys in Oz...

Old man emu seem to be about the same so if there easier to get go with them I will try and get a part .No for you

An update: Well progress is slow but at least there is some progress. Got the shocks changed out this weekend which wasn't too bad except for those bloody one piece bushings that OME provides with its shocks. Talk about a major PIA! Anyway, a couple of pix to show the change. First shot is of the old shocks once they were removed and what they were replaced with. Nasty old leakers.

Next, are shots of the new shocks in place, Nice and neat. If only the rest of the undercarriage looked that clean...

Not all effort has been under the vehicle. I had to add a little bling. Out of necessity as much as desire. First, I replaced the headlamps with some new old school H4 Cibie headlamps I found in a box of stuff I had forgotten I had. They were a nice find. I know, I know, they aren't HID or LED but man I liked the price. I also replaced the parking light lenses.

You can probably tell from the previous photo that I installed a new grille too. It's a purdy, shiny chrome one! It was readily available versus the standard black one so I took it. It looks better than I thought it would. A new grille emblem too. If you look through the grille you'll notice also installed some Hella horns. The originals were shot. They sounded like a trumpet under water. Now they can be heard!

So that's it for now. There is much more to come. I'm at the mercy of suppliers for many other parts I've ordered. I need to replace the clutch assembly. I've already replaced the clutch master and slaves cylinders. I've replaced the side view mirrors. The originals were going to fall off if I didn't. Wheels are on order. I'm told maybe by the end of the month. I'm not sure if I want to keep the bull bar because I would like to mount a winch. If I decide to keep it, it's going to the powder coater's shop. As I'm sure many of you know, it's endless. Thanks to those who comment and provide insight. It's greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Wow nice to see your getting into the old girl eman. The under carriage looks OK to me from the close up shots how do the leaf springs look over there length. Love to see more pics

Thanks! I like it. It is a labor of love-and money. I just hope I have enough of each to get it the way I want it...
As a voice of experience, I would recommend you pace yourself. :)
When it comes down to paying your mortgage or buying an ARB brush bar, I would recommend making the "minimum" mortgage payment and putting the rest towards the brush bar.

Thanks! They were difficult to wind up so I tore the door apart, cleaned everything up. I even replaced the window regulators but in retrospect a good cleaning and lube would have been enough.

While replacing the window regulators I lubed the window rubber and they work slick now. The wing/ventilator windows are another story. I took them apart, cleaned 'em up, lubed 'em, put them back together and they still leak and whistle. Time for new rubber. They are in order. Thanks.

I've found that white lithium grease is the best for rubber, it helps preserve it from drying out and deteriorating and it stays on pretty well:

I use it for weather stripping and other rubber stuffs on vehicles.

Well, baby finally got new shoes and socks! Stealth Custom Series wheels 16 x 8 w/3.5 backspacing, Gun Metal Grey. Thanks Cruiser Dan for your input. Cooper ST Maxx Tires 285/75/16. I'm gonna have to get some potatoes to go with all that meat. Not the exact look I was going for but I can live with it. Old tires were Maxxis Bravo, something or other 32/11.50/15 and they were about gone. Rides a lot better but the weight of the new tires can definitely be felt. Tire stance went from ~29.5" to ~32" Looks way better methinks...
