I just picked up this turd brown '84 60 yesterday and hauled it home for a little love. Not sure of my plans for it just yet. We're going to sort out a few issues with it and have fun driving it for a while. We'll decide in time if it's a keeper or not. The Crockpot is not going anywhere regardless of what happens with this 60. The 60 is very much rust free. Original paint. Interior is very nice. Trans is a bit noisy and the AC does not work. It needs a knuckle rebuild and the brakes could use some attention. 203K on the truck. Needs a tune-up and valve adjustment and I think it's going to be a good truck. It has an ARB front bumper and Warn M8000 winch. OME suspension (looks like a 2.5"). And 33x10.5 BFG AT's. I'm just starting to clean it up a little. I'll do a cut and buff and see if I can bring the paint back to life.

Congrats on the new cruiser Dave. One is just never enough :)

Very nice, Dave. Very nice.

Congrats!

I love the name and cruiser! Congrats

That thing is bitchin! Love that you guys all name your cruisers... I'll have to find something to call mine other than "the blue one" and "the big one"

Today I started the paint correction process (aka polishing the turd) It's looking better already! Before and after pics tell the tale:

Holy moly. That's amazing. Well played, sir.

I do have a few interior pics. They were taken by the PO. The interior hasn't been cleaned yet and was filthy when the pics were taken but here it is:

The interior is pretty good overall. Driver's seat vinyl is just starting to seperate. The dash has several cracks and the rear carpet is MIA. Other than those minor issues, no complaints.

You're going to think I'm joking but here is my secret weapon for carpet and upholstery stains.

Beauty supply places sell it for a few bucks a gallon. It's really just hydrogen peroxide but is 6% rather than the 3% in drug stores. Might get the stains off your seats. May need to dilute some depending on how color-fast your seats are.

Dayummm that looks good Dave. I may have to enlist the aid of your helper when the replacement to my 73 gets here ;)

Looks like you got some ammo in the deal as well!
