So what're your plans for the rock warriors now that you got your shiny new FN wheels??

RWs and tires in classifieds for $2K pickup in Houston.

yep - they're up for grabs to a new home....... They're a great setup, but I just really liked the stance and width of the FN's....

Did a ton of wiring prep for next weekend..... going to install the Source and wire up all the LED's and driving lights etc in one shot....

Spent a solid 2 hours creating rock lights out of 10 watts leds that I'll use a central hub for..... and then mocked up the lights for the Gobi.... ordered up 2 pairs of Rigid's for the back end... and 2 sets of Kawell's Surface mount floods for the sides - had to hit Ace hardware for a solution for mounting them but pretty excited at this idea..... will post pics next weekend.

traveling most of the week but going to be hard at it next Saturday !

taking her to Big Bend in mid - August .... so have to have her ready !

I slacked all weekend..... only got the Hella's mounted up.... DAMN their bright and big and I like the running light feature...( wired that into the foglights switch )

Too damn hot to work on the rig today and had work to catch up on.... but got TONS of stuff to do this week in the evenings. My Bhicks black/silver 3d emblems are enroute to replace the red Jalepano's...... anyone want those ?

and the D-rings come back off- had them on for the kayak - it's the perfect solution for the securing the front of it.

Anyone running Hella 4000's with a 100 watt bulb ? I've got a set of X-Vision 130 watters I'm thinking I'll try.....

Details on the lights? have been looking at LED options but would rather go conventional for longer / spot beam

Rig is looking Suh-weet!! Emblems will be even better

J

Yep.... agree on the emblems.... I was going to do the Big stoptech kit and thought a red theme might be fun but as a few noted it's not within the color wave of the truck.....

The Hella's are the 4000's with the running light setup - in "driving" which is a bit wider then Spot but not Euro..... they're amazing bright and focused out to what looks to be about 3/4 of a mile.... I'd wish for a bit more width on the mounting in a perfect world but they're amazing.... and once the LED bar is one it covers all the width out to about 800-1000 feet. I debated alot of other options and this was the right price point.... I did really like the Vision X 6.7" hi/lo Halogens that I had on the ARB but they didn't punch as far as these..... I tried to order the fyrlyt's but couldn't get answers to a few things so passed on those.....

for the $ these seem like a good long range high speed option. Ebay was about 220 w/ a harness that I used parts of.

How things with the 80 ? you ready to come to the dark/ faster side .....?

I just ordered up the LED's to fit..... agree the Hella's are bright..... and I prefer the Halogen light's tone for distance.

finally mounted up the new rims and durataracs...... unfortunately the DT shop somehow didn't have the right socket to remove the spacers so have to do that myself tomorrow, so the stance is Wayyyyyy wide.... but really like the finish on the BFD rims.....matches the trcuk well and changes color with the light from dark grey to almost a bronze metalilic flake.

also liking the look and the weight was down by 6lbs on each corner. going to swap out the rear spring for the 865's to level it out while waiting for the rear bumper....

some details to finish off like center caps for the rears.... the fronts will be fine as I'm plannning a PT kit and hubs......

planning on working on the lights for the rack today....lots of wiring in my future.

Much better without spacers but this is for sure as wide as I'd dare go.... I'm going to have to heat gun some of the fender liner and am planning to get it in Monday to swap the rear springs and cycle the susspension with the forklift to see what touches....

need to clear her up once it cools down and get better pics.

Spending the rest of the day mounting and wiring up an awful lot of lights and misc fun stuff.....

I decided to splurge on Rigids for the rear floods and reverse, and also ordered 6 surface mount Kawells hoping to find a way to mount them on the side of the Gobi rack.... in mocking it up I found that using a rubber tapered stopper dilled down the center, and fender washer on the backside would fit perfectly with a compression fit - to mount it in the span between the two horizontal tubes..... thought I'd share the idea. Really looking forward to getting them all wired now once it cools off...... 98 here today !

Love the new wheels. Might have to copy them for my build . . .

haha - it will get dirty..... heading to NM / CO in 2 weeks..... trying to get all the parts and pieces knocked out beforehand....

They were Slee's but am selling with the RW's..... sorry !

WOW, fantastic build. Seems like the 200 idea is in this budget, ah, I kid.
-
Request, a night shot with all the lights on would be way cool.
Interior mods? Drawers?
Sure looks like you have done your research - great Build!

Thanks - will try to get some night pics later this week...... I debated drawers but not sold on the need yet.....

"Not sold on the need yet" you have TE37s on a LC hahaha oh the irony :)
