So I took out the starter and broke it down. I think I have further to break it down but have not gone all way yet. My no start issue can be many things.

I have eliminated that wire on top of tranny aince my dash lights are all lit up. The button byu the shifter has been pressed in with no start so thats not it. I have switched different batteries and jumped her to no avail. I have wiggled all wires and hit starter with hammer and nothing. I can hear what I think is starter going so I think its getting power but something not working.

Did you ever fix this issue? If not, did you unplug the wire that goes to the fuel pump? It is part of the wiring harness thats on the drivers side of the truck. The wire to the fuel pump goes through the floor just before the wheel-well. The reason I ask, is because I unpluged mine when we were cutting the body, but forgot to plug it back in and my truck wouldnt start.

Shs still not running, i have not tried to to get her running to much yet. You talking thr little wire part that polks through fllor board that splits off from main harness. Its still plugged in, my no start issue started before my chopping. Im gonna take some more pics tmrw and some more cutting. Ill have some questions about wiring later.

bought something today to assist.

cutting up everything with a sawsall has been ok, lot of dead blades, one the battery decided to break apart, i assume from vibration and the biggest factor is battery life. It kills the batteries extremely quick.

That'll do nicely. Again have to buy plenty of blades.

if it catches it will stop spinning, and it doesnt cut as fast as the sawsall does with a fresh new blade. Not as awesome as i was hoping but i will need it for grinding and so on also so i had to get one at some point.

were you cutting with those steel toe adidas slippers on?

yes the invisible steel toe and tshirt and shorts and with just my glasses on.

so i was gonna keep the cab part then decided not too. Got one side of the rockers chopped off. Not final cut but close, still pondering on front fenders, probably take them off tmrw and see what im working with.

Im toying with idea of sliders that work theyre way to front bumper. Probably not, i want to keep her light.

Time for me to play with paint.

You will want to connect the cage to the front bumper, because if you were to roll, it adds some protection to the front end...I haven't done this yet, because I font have a front bumper yet

So this happened right before I parked the truck and moved, she ran after this. It sat for a few months then got brought down to PA. I imagine this helped with my no start issue.

I might have posted these before but not sure.

How much did the tires cost i'm looking for new rubber didn't know what I want to get at reasonable price. Any suggestion on polishing the wheels my look like crap.

Tires were 330 a piece. Pretty cheap as far as 37s go. Not sure best way to clean wheels as i realy never clean them.

This is cool. It's amazing how small it looks without all that sheet metal on it. Any idea how much weight you have taken off it?

Not a clue Larry but when its all said and done I will weigh it. Even with rollcage and stuff I imagine it will be a bunch lighter but who knows. The 80 is a big beast no matter what. Im not shocked that they are heavy. I got a bit more cutting to do still and I got a replacement starter on its way. Hopefully she turns over. I want to take her for a drive around the block and see what she feels like with no weight.
