New member here and checking out the forums. Work for Toyota Corp in Torrance (sorry cannot talk bout stuff
) but as a project manager for IS and Facilities. Just ordered the Trail Teams SE and it looks like I will have it in late Jan or early Feb. Plan on doing a "few" things to it, but also plan on "using it" as well. It looks better "in person"...

whats so special about it? looks like just an fj painted white with black rims and a fancy badge.

It seems to me it has almost the exact same package as the TRD SE...only white! And they're making the same amount of each being "3200".
I'm kinda bummed that they put black bumpers, door handles, and mirrors on the white one and left the silver on the black ones!
I think they would both look better if they switched! I wonder if I can order the black exterior stuff for my TRD! That would be rad!

actually, I have driven the prototype 2008 SE Trail Team truck....I did the driving for their advertising, including the online photos AND the FJ Magazine 4th issue cover/article images

Ok, I thought it was pretty neat from the pics, but I saw one on the road yesterday, and was NOT impressed! It's not even close to white, it's cream! It's like the VW bug color. Which probably doesn't look too bad on it's own, but the contrast with the white top doesn't look good.
The few people I know that have also seen it have all agreed. But then again, that's only a hand full of opinions! Someone had to like it or it wouldn't be here!

I believe what you saw was the new tan color, which has the white top.
The SE is ALL white top and bottom.
