all I know is I would rather have oily dirty hands everytime I touch my rig, then seized bolts and dry rot!
 
Krown Krown Krown... every year... and make sure they do a thorough job! Take it back if they have not, and get them to finish it... they will.
 
One of the most important aspects of rust prevention is ensuring that water is draining properly. For example, look at an older 60 series with stock springs, chances are it has a saggy rear end. This slight change in stance means that water will channel differently than it is supposed to and may sit when it should be draining. And we all know that stationary water == rust.
