I'd use the lexan so you can see a spotter.

If he is looking at a spotter THROUGH THE ROOF, i think spotter "A" failed in his duties! :flipoff2:

Bob, i hope you welcome all your new nephews to the family! :D

Ah? Im hoping to be excepted into this family... everything that ive seen here looks really cool. I must admit I havent had much experience with the Toyota Mods. I am impressed with the quality and materials used in them. I look foward to getting my hands on more of them to see what I can do. In fact since being here and talking to you and Sam, I feel a FJ55 will be in my life very soon. I think I will leave the Jeep stuff to BIII. Ok Sam, this thread is all your again... sorry for the diversion.

Ummmm is it just me that wants to see some day light pic's of this beast.....

It does look even better in the daylight, in person. :flipoff2: Sammy was stressing about getting it done in time, I imagine he is giving that effort his all.

Rubithon was AWESOME. BIG THANKS to Slomo, and Pablo for the parts and help. HUGE shout out to Uncle Bob at Bengels (I can't count how many comments I got on the cage, bumper, and overall work on the truck, and everyone else to who helped out.

Steve 619TOY, totally kicked ass on the trail and even got a little ding in his door to remember the trail by. There will be pics and video to follow.

Sweet Sam! Anxious to here about the adventure. You have been on our minds ever since you wheeled out of the shop... Silence is Usually a good thing? LOL

Sam do us a favor, Post a few pics on our new So Cal forum. Its for all brands of Rigs so Im sure we're not stepping on any toes here. Its just now getting up and running with lots of work to do still, but we could use a bump. Anxious, and cant wait to see the write up here. Knowing you, we wont see anything here until oh about 2:30 in the morning...LOL Thanks, Your favorite Uncle, Bob

PICS and a write up in both the TLCA Sanctioned events and on SCUFF forum. ENJOY!

Looks good Sam, I forgot Steve was going too. I would love to hear how his truck faired? Any body damage to that, almost too clean to wheel Lexus?

Mark, Steve did get a little ding in his DS door. I'm sure he'll post a few pics, but Steve can pick some incredible lines. He knows his truck well and squeezed it through some tough sections without a scratch.

Hope you'll have her at Pismo in November Sam. I'm sure the pics just don't do the great work justice!

Looks good Sam. What is that a removable roof? Neat.

Yes, sunroof with all the mounts and glass weighs a lot, so thanks to Pablo a piece of lexan took the place of the opening and I can unbolt it anytime I like.

Sam, the rig turned out awesome from all the pics seen, way to go!

Saw this video of your truck Sam and thought I would share it hear.

OUCH BTW
VIDEO

Ouch you say, lol. That wasn't close to some of the larger ledges we went down. That's what your sliders and rear bumper are for.:D

Thanks for sharing the video

Nice video Sammy. Looking good. I assume the arms held up good. Any issues with the buid up, any bugs?

That is Alvaro behind you no?

Arms help up LIKE A CHARM and took a little beating. I haven't had time to give them a good look yet though.

That is Alvaro behind me. You want to talk about driving skills, he is very smooth behind the wheel. also a great spotter (as were, pablo, rick, andy, joe, and even dunkane who's first spot was through a Very sketchy section of the trail through a hardline section).
