This is not Tech, but it will be shortly when I install them. I'm too excited not to post it up. Called Christo Slee this morning and ordered a Rear Bumper w/o tire carrier and a front ARB Sahara Bar. I sure hope I can get them before my trip to Disney Oklahoma to go wheelin! Christo and team have been quick to ship things out before so I have little worries. Anyway be looking for some pics soon! :bounce:

Cool man. Always happy to see someone get their toys for their TOY :D

when my shrink-wrapped pallet arrived it was real exciting times, couldn't wait to install. got it home & guess what: missing the hardware baggie. could have been the shipper, who knows. I called Christo and he didn't challange or question what happened, he simply put another bag in the mail. that's service

have a great time turning the wrench - show us your pics!

Nice! Post up some pix when you get it done.

Congrats, I too wanted that rear bumper on sale, but still saving for the front first:frown: Time to :wrench:

Sweet! I can't decide if I want the Slee with or without the tire carrier? At that price, it's hard too pass up! Good luck.

I agree! It was a tough decision to make, but at that price point it was worth going that direction for me. I am going to be doing my own swing out tire carrier for it down the road; that should be fun. I first need to get my sliders done this week! Its a busy time in my garage! :)

Well my front and rear bumpers arrived yesterday! I will start the install of them tonight as well as my sliders! VERY excited and WOW is Slee's rear bumper built to take a beating!

Hey Wait Zane, don't you have an ARB Sahara in your Avitar?

Yes I do! I had fun in photoshop when pulling my Avitar together, and in about 6 hours my rig will mirror my build up vision that my Avitar represents... :p other than my Sahara will not have the fog lights in them yet. Hope that does not break any Avitar rules, but as an example, I figured that the real "Pint" really isn't a talking glass of Guinness beer who owns a 100 so I figured we had some flexibility... ha.. ;)

Please take my heckling in good fun..

Hey, but my last name is "Pint"!!!

That's awsome Zane! I hope to do the same within the year. Let us know how the install goes.

The Slee guys are busy shipping stuff. I just ordered a rear bumper, an ARB front and a batery tray today....the wait begins!

WTF? All you guys expecting some healthy tax returns? :D:cool:

I got an email today from Slee. My bumper has been shipped, w/ the tire carrier and a diff drop kit. I hope it arrives by Friday, not working and planning to install it then. I will post pictures.

cheers,

Tax return...I'm self employed...I think most of my income is going to taxes? I don't get no freakin' tax returns! At least I'm driving a Cruiser! Oh yeah, and it's a write off... :grinpimp:

Got both front and rear bumpers on last night! 4 hours to do both! Wow the Sahara bar took about 3 1/2 hours of that. It has about 25+ pieces to put together on the thing. I LOVE it! Sad to say my 8000 pound Ramsey winch will not fit. It has a build in solenoid and sits to tall to fit under the bumper.. Anyone want a nice Ramsey! :o The Slee bumper is VERY nice. Took me 30 min to install.

My wife cant seem to find our camera or I would have pics up right now. I will try and take some pictures with my phone over the lunch hour and post them up. I will have a more detailed write up in the next few days.

Tech: I only noticed 1/8th of an inch drop in the front and a little less than 1/4" drop in the rear with Heavy OME set up. Not bad... I still need to adjust the torsion bars up a bit and I think I am going to add packers in the back due to the fact that I still have not added my sliders and that will be even more weight I'm adding.

I am also self employed so no tax returns for me either. Likwise though my LLC owns my Cruiser F**k the IRS! Anyway bak to the important stuff. So you installed the rear bumper in 30 minutes, was this including removing the plastic stock bumper cover and bumperette? I should see my bumper on Friday, I ordered the tire carrier as well so Iknow that will take extra time. How is the quality?

I would say 30 to 40 min tops! Removing the factory rear bumper only took 10 min. Remove rear mud flaps w/ 10mm socket and the four or five 10mm bolts on the bottom edge of the back of the bumper and its off. You then have four (i believe) bolts that hold on a metal bracket that needs to be removed and thats it. I already had my receiver hitch removed several months ago, but that is only 6 big bolts to remove if it is still on.

Installing the Slee Rear bumper was very straight forward and a perfect fit. As for the quality I would rate it a 10 out of 10. Very well built, Strong as well as very well thought out from a design perspective. I did not have a rear tire carrier so you are correct that it will add some time to your install.
